I have a deluxe sample of the shimmery LM powder. I like to lightly top a basic eyeshadow with it, gives me a subtle shimmer that I enjoy. Generally I use it in my low makeup days when I use a bronzer as eyeshadow and then a bit of the LM powder.
I once saw a video by a beautician about hyaluronic acid, she also recommended using it on wet or dampened skin, if you wanted to maximize the benefits of it. If applied on dry skin, it won't do much
I don't like lotion in summer, so I keep a bottle of glycerine in the shower - I add a glug of it to my body wash so that I'm washing and moisturising in one step.
If you can get your hands on it, I recommend the yellow citrus Cinema Secrets. The blue one has a ridiculously strong vanilla and alcohol smell. I had to leave my door open and the fan on and mum still complained about the smell going through the house lol. The yellow gives me no dramas. Sephora AU has it but it's out of stock at the moment.
Recently bought the trial kit and it just sat there 'cos I am pretty rigorous about fragrance, but yesterday I had one that wasn't budging and I put the tiniest bit in the little tin and I nearly passed out. Eco Tools wash, FF Beauty Blender soap and pure isopropyl failed me, so I'm glad to have it, but handle with care. I'll try my Zoeva 104 and Sigma F82 today 'cos I don't like staining so let's see if this industrial paintstripper will do it.
Went and made a coffee. Did the Zoeva 104. Stains gone. Brush literally soaked it up (by Zoeva's design I think). Wow. Problem is now my brush smells like turpentine mixed with a bit of dirt and fragrance and I gave two quick washes with Eco Tools too. I'm going to have to get a major soap in 'cos I don't like having fragrance and residue, that breaks me out on its own. Edit: as can the soap I'll have to use LOL.
@ i don’t dip mine in the solution, I spray it on a paper towel and swipe my brush against, works everytime, I use it everyday on my eye brushes and I wash all my brushes once a week with the Beauty Blender bar or Rephrs bar. Now my beauty blender I wash everyday.
My best category this year was body lotions. I used up 14. Masks was up there as well but those are easy if I remember to do them. But not one single lipstick finished although I tried so hard. I'll probably do a lipstick project next year to challenge myself. (and I'll include those liquid lipsticks as well that are still kicking around)
Eucerin is one of my faves! They have this gel body lotion that is my go to it sinks in so fast and doesnt leave any residue but really does help keep my skin calm and happy! Also just got a sunscreen from them and it is lovely!!!
It's so good! I will place an order soon and try out a bunch of things. I might avoid the SPF, only because we have crazy high UV here and I prefer to use SPF that is specifically tested for our conditions :)
Dermalogica is so expensive and I feel there are cheaper brands that are as effective. Bioderma and LRP make excellent cleansers across their ranges, as you have also noticed. What blue eyeliner were you wearing in this video please? I am a huge fan of blue liner/dark blue shadow as eyeliner.
If you like a natural bronzer with a sheen, since your Kevin aucoin is finished, I use the kosas bronzer in the lightest colour (I’m light medium so it shows up very lightly) and its so pretty, I don’t remember if you have tried it but you could swatch it and see how you like the colour!
Yeah I have a few bronzers that I might try to pan over the next few years, but it is a step that I no longer like, it doesn't suit my skin tone. Blush and/or highlighter is definitely my preferred face product!
@@KitschSnitch actually I have an olive undertone too so maybe that’s why we don’t like bronzers that much? I just feel like as a makeup enthusiast I can’t not have a bronzer in my stash even though I don’t use it that much. I even bought the makeup by Mario liquid bronzer… I have not used it once! I have no idea why I bought it, it felt like I have to own one to be able to claim “I am knowledgeable on makeup” which is so not true
Hellooo fellow Fair Olive 🫒😘 Ba ha ha I recently decided to give up hate panning a full size shimmery Laura Mercier that I had to mix to get it to work. I felt so relieved when I slid a new MUFE pressed translucent in it's place. That powder has been mocking me for YEARS!
I tried but couldn’t use the dermal therapy lip balm. I’ve got super sensitive lips and they dried out my lips. The Lanolips 101 ointment is one of the few things I can use.
@@KitschSnitch lol. I am a lot older than you and it does last on me. Make the most of your oily skin. It means you will have less signs of ageing. Lucky you!
I’m sure I watched the whole thing twice and I’m sorry if you mentioned it - what are you wearing on your lips during the video? Love that shade of pink!
I use a reusable cotton pad type things, but you can use a washcloth as well. I wouldn't use your hands because you need to physically wipe your skin to remove the oils/makeup/dirt. I use my hands to apply toners or essences, because they just need to be applied to the skin :)
I feel like I’m the only person who didn’t like the Natasha Denona concealer! I found it kind of drying and creasy, and something about the formula made my under eye area look almost sunken in. I rarely return makeup, but I just could not get this concealer to work for me, so I finally returned it.
Cinema secrets blue does not smell nice to me. I prefer the scent of Saint Jack and I find it works better too. It’s also an. Aussie brand so there’s that. Once in a while though the rephr soap is superb to wash and condition your best brushes. Love your content. Totally agree with you re the Revlon lip oil. I decluttered them all. I had 3. 🙄

Want this one? Haha
Wow so many empties! The red earrings and red lipstick looked so pretty on you! I had some lip product empties, but mostly skincare
We have quite different tastes so I always love seeing your empties and reviews. It’s like a peek into another world and I often learn something new
Thank you!
You used an *impressive* amount of stuff this year, that’s amazing! 🎉
Wow! Your lipstick with those earrings in the second clip! 😍😍 Gorgeous!!!
I love a lot of products from Isntree. Reasonably priced and effective products!
The shiny one looks like it could be a sheer eyeshadow! Kudos to you for trying to make it work with mixing
Need to try the Isntree HA. I'm just sick of eyedropper bottles and prefer a pump
I once saw a video by a beautician about hyaluronic acid, she also recommended using it on wet or dampened skin, if you wanted to maximize the benefits of it. If applied on dry skin, it won't do much
Yep! That’s why I use an essence or spray underneath ❤️
I would keep the packaging of the Kevyn Aucoin for any casualties of other powder products you need to re press in the future maybe
It’s too big, it would fit 2 blushes in it haha.
I don't like lotion in summer, so I keep a bottle of glycerine in the shower - I add a glug of it to my body wash so that I'm washing and moisturising in one step.
Oh that’s a great tip! Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! The lemon one looks quite hard to find, but I will keep an eye out for it
Is it clear, the one I looked up here in the states is clear. Does it work just like the blue one?

I'm working on using up my powder. I've got maybe ¼ left! I'm so close to using my Milk Hydrogrip primer up.
I have normal leaning dry skin and that LYS was rubbish on me too. It barely lasted a couple of hours.

Yes! I agree that LRP and Bioderma are just as good, for way cheaper. I live by LRP. MAC fluidline in Royal Wink :)
@@KitschSnitch thanks for your reply.
My total was 62 products ! Feels so good to go through my collection 😅 next year will deff be a no buy lol

I liked the bronzer, but I’m completely happy not to have bronzers in my routine 🤣

Well done Kat. My total ended up being 59.
Great work!
Lol, so relieved to know I'm not the only one who gets acetone from a hardware shop. 💅
The best place 😆

Hi Kat, Adore Beauty is opening a concept store at Southland , Melbourne soon
That's exciting! Too bad Southland is way too far for me to travel to, it takes me an hour to get there haha
