I love how this channel introduce us to new less known brands
Thanks, I do try to test out lesser know brands.
@@Techtablets Pls review the realme gt neo 3
Great review. I actually might look into this for my gaming setup. Decent price too! Oh and I love that Intel NUC, what a beast!
The NUC is a beast, love the formfactor, port options and the look of it. I was going to build my own SFF PC but got this instead I know it costs a lot more but it was just easier. Sold off my 5950X + water cooled tower PC.
Awesome to say the least. What a beast! 👍👍. I love it!
Great review Sir Chris🙂. Good one👌👌
Thanks 👍
Dammit, now I am going to spend the rest of the day figuring out how to fit this on my desk, thanks a lot!
Sorry haha well I have a huge desk and use an LG C1 48" 4k120hz OLED ... You get use to the size
love these big monitors..make experience immersive..hopefully 90-130" monitors and TVs will be common and alot cheaper by 2025.
thanks for the video
I hope so too!
Mine's arriving tomorrow bud - praise the LORD forever and ever AMEN 🙌
Would this be okay for none gaming, just as an ultra wide computer monitor for school, browsing, video editing, and watching movies?
Just looking for a monitor arm now and I was wondering what kind of weight this 40-inch is without the stand. Are the 35.5 lbs include the stand or without it according to amazon? Can you give me any advice for a good arm that doesn't hurt my bank haha
Hey brother what’s the shipping like for these was it much of a wait ? And what’s the price for it at your door step ? Could look into one of these
got it for 300 cant wait to try it out cant beat that value.
So you were the person that got that on Amazon😂😂
I currently have a viotek 34 in ultrawide and despite being cheap its surprisingly good but just wish it were taller and I think this will fit the bill. Going to suck not having a curved display but I think itll be ok. How tall and low does the stand go?, Im pretty sure my monitor arm wont hold the weight and and being a tall blokie I need my monitor pretty high
Ordered one for my wife just now.
I play on ultrawide 3440x1440 - great experience!
It is.
One question though - does it make sense to Pay more for 1440p 40 inches while with such ppi you wont notice much of a difference in image quality compared to 1080p 27?
great this Monitor, cool Video.
I have this monitor and I love it. I do miss the fact that it's flat NOT curved. Also the HDR mode is horrible... I actually just leave it off, its very very dim. I feel this monitor would be much more useful for productivity rather than gaming. I sue mine for gaming though. It's a good solid monitor for what it is...and you just cant beat the price. It's very very good...but not great.
Well I have the Samsung g7 32“ wich had cost me ~900€ back in the days. The „HDR“ is a joke because it’s just hdr400, like this monitor. It’s just marketing. :)
I'm trying to use this with a mac pro and no matter how I change the display settings its small and blurry. Any pointers? :)
Yes.. your macbook doesnt support ultrawide. Go figure 🤦
The amazon listing and manufacturer homepage does not list G-Sync, only FreeSync. Have you actually tested it with NVIDIA cards?
Thank you for this review! how is the text clarity for productivity purposes?
Not bad, but if it was 4k it would be sharper.
finally, reasonable priced gaming monitor. usually, at this price or higher, gaming monitors don't stand a chance vs TVs with 120hz VRR.
Yes it does offer a lot for $599, the G-sync and FreeSync. My personal one is a 48" LG C1 120hz 4k with VRR and Sync. And OLED, but it cost me around $1600 so this offers a lot for so much less.
hey cool review! this is really crazy low priced compared to LG or anything else, literally half price. What is your opinion on the INNOCN WR40-PRO?
Thanks
What type of Cpu is suitable for this one? I am getting it, Thanks!
Nice review...I picked this monitor up prior to seeing your review of it. BTW, what is the mechanical keyboard are you using in this video?
Hi, nice enjoy the monitor it's great! As for the keyboard I bought it from Banggood it's this model es.banggood.com/GamaKay-K66-Mechanical-Keyboard-66-Keys-Gateron-Switch-Hot-Swappable-Tyce-C-Wired-RGB-Backlit-Gaming-Keyboard-with-Crystalline-Base-for-PC-Laptop-p-1799872.html?p=QZ14021624945201505Y
@@Techtablets Thanks for the quick response. BTW really enjoy your videos...Keep up the GREAT work!
G-Sync is not officially supported, other sources said they could not enable it even. What's to say about that? (While I'd happily shell out 100 bucks more for real g-sync at that base price.)
can you provide the size of the monitor without the stand please? width and height
giving how it tilts moves side by side up and down and G-Sync compatible guessing and depending on card being used and cable i'd prefer using a DP Cable but from the research I been doing can say Price Wise is Fair for a 40' monitor ur not gonna find any where else not at this size. i may Roll the Dice on this Monitor as to why I am here to checking it out in action🤔🤔🤔🤔 Also does it come with a U.S. Poer Adapter ??? very important.
for that game id drop to 1080p 21:9 for more frames
the feel of the game is more important to me than fidelity
even with adaptive sync you can feel the difference from 90 to 120
this is where i get confused tho
32:9 monitors add up mathematically
21:9 dont
@ 2160 w/ratio of 21:9 its
5040
@ 1440 w/ratio of 21:9 its
3360
@1080 w ratio of 21:9 its
2520
There is a reason you feel the difference, at 30-60 fps: your eyes see a smooth experience because your eyes are making you see a smooth experience, aka between the refresh rate-flickers your eyes are working to "fill in the gap" by creating a mock image in its place. At 120fps and above: your eyes don't need to work to fill in the gaps. As such, the experience feels relaxing and smooth like butter.
Looking for big ultrawide display. If it is curved, I would buy it instantly.
I got one of these the other day. A few pointers to anyone who's on a research slog
If you're coming from a 4k screen the text will look blurry, quite blurry indeed. It's not fixable either. I'm getting use to it, but pixels per inch (ppi) is very low for this size screen.
You do need gpu power to run it. Something along the lines of a 1080gtx and beyond. Forget about it on 1080p cards. I'm running 3060ti/12700kf and currently playing Diablo 3 - max settings with fps limited to 144 I'm not going over 65fps and can drop into the mid 40s. I was pulling at steady 60 max settings on a 4k 28"/60hz
The monitor offers every resolution from 800*480 to 4k. They all look crap except native 3440*1440
Many reviews slated the menu system, but to me it makes perfect sense. It certainly isn't anywhere near complicated as my RME ADI-2 dac!
Have no fear of it moving! the base truly is weighty and the rubber feet make it impossible to slid. You have to pick it up even if you just want to budge it an inch.
The power cord is quite short (prob ~1.5m). No power brick!
Some light bleed in the corners on mine. Nothing unexpected for an lcd panel though, and not bad at all given the price.
Yeah you get a piece of paper which says calibration - ignore it. It's the lowest of low calibration possible, and most likely just a piece of paper grabbed of a stack as it's getting boxed up...(cynic)
Buy it knowing what you're getting into - you ARE choosing size over quality if you buy it. Overall for what I paid (€460 - now back over €600 amzon.fr) I'm happy enough.
How is your second point even possible?
@@valdurion6779 I did a little more digging on that after I posted and it's an known issue with the game itself. Suppose to reinstall.
@@HP83Smoke what would you recommend instead?I now have xiaomi 34 curved 144hz, but I need something around 38-40. Its hard to find a good monitor in this size with good quality, refresh rate etc. Not to mention the curve. Only for gaming, sometimes youtube and chrome. LG 40WP95C cost fortune but has only75hz lol . Alienware AW3821DW also cost a lot of money but looks better , its hard to find smth good (btw sry 4 my english)
@@henryskott5131 buy it. Overall for the money (esp on sale!) it's great value. It's not perfect, no, but for 499 kehat I paid) I'm not complaining. It has since developed a dead pixel, but it's not too notiacble.
It's less pixel than 4k screen size has nothing to do with the fps .. it's the resolution which this has less than your last screen
Amazon Lightning Deal right now has it at $399.
Would I be able to use an adapter a hdmi to displayport adapter to get the 144hz?
I'm using a laptop with HDMI 1.4
Does HDMI 1.4 even support the resolution and refresh rate?
Thx for the help
you can't use the 144Hz resolution over HDMI, quite simply that's too much bandwidth for HDMI
is it good enough for coding and has clear type in text?
A shame it is still not in stock. Seems like a great monitor to buy with the new gpu im planning
it's in stock now
@@cjohnny8010 "cannot be delivered in your country" 😑
Thank you for the review. Can you tell me what the height of the actual monitor is please, not the overall height including the base. I am trying to get the monitor height in comparison to a 32" 1440p monitor as 34" 1440p monitors seem small in height.
Okay so around 52cm approximately in hight with the stand and it lowered. Hope this helps.
It is more or less the same height as a 32-in 16x9, look at the website display wars, and compare a 32-in 16x9 monitor to a 40-in 21x9
Can you compare this against the MSI Mag 40? Thanks
I don't have that monitor sorry.
Can anyone explain to me how 40" 3440x1440 can exist? 3440x1440 ends up around 34", so for a 40" monitor they would have to add pixels on the sides to keep 1440. I have the thing in my cart but I can't wrap my head around that one item. Debating between this and a 38" x1600 monitor, for yeah, 600 more lol
Larger pixels. Basically scaled up pixels. Like 4k TV's all the same resolution but different sizes. Larger pixels. in the huge models, smaller in the smaller sizes. Higher PPI = sharper imagine.
what math did you do???
@@Techtablets Thanks! I just got this thing set up, and its excellent. Surprised as heck honestly. I use a x1600 at work and don't see a reason to spend +1,000 to get the same monitor. Snagged this for 200 off on Amazon. Only issue is when I turn on 144hz the screen vibrates - its not flickering, its vibrating up and down. 120 works fine.
It's the same pixel density as a 32-in 1440p monitor, 91 PPI which is the same as a 1080p24-in which is perfectly sharp, would you really notice the difference between 1080p and 1440p at 24 in? That is basically the difference, 3840x 1600 would literally just be wasting resources as you would have to be sitting extremely close to see pixels.
Hey Chris I'm having a hard time which one to choose Poco F4 gt or black shark 4 pro.Whicj one would u choose?
I would get the Poco F4 GT out of those two.
@@Techtablets Hey Chris is there much difference between the picture quality and brightness of those two phones I mentioned to pick one over the other?
@@dereklee2590 The black shark 4 pro is a year old by now. It has a bit more hz and a higher peak brightness in sunlight, but the f4 GT outclasses it's screen in everything else.
@@Xfade81 Thanks yeah some things are a must some things I can do without:)
My Dream Monitor. Only problem is that isnt available at my country. And i cant ship that to here
Oh that's a shame.
Try in other amazon store
Currently unavailable
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
Sad
Ok, seems the German store has it
Yes seems it was in stock when I made the video but now out.
Looks amazing! What's the retail price?
Around 560 / USD 540 euros
@@Techtablets what? thats actually a pretty good deal
Yeah it's not bad when you factor all that's on offer. I did see around $560 but that's with a discount I think so it will be more without it of course.
@@Techtablets yep, not bad at all just a heads up for the aff link.
once you use a 21/9 monitor, you wont be able to go back to 16/9. It is so good for gaming and working.
Yes they are awesome for that I agree. Work and gaming it so good.
Why would you need a beast of a PC system if its the same resolution? If it were 4K, sure, that'd be different. Im confused
Chris my maaaan
Hi!
Use FSR on Farcry 6 and see what FPS you can get.
I'll try it out! Thanks
do i get more vertical space than with a 27inch? (i hate all monitors that only have the height of a 27inch - i want more vertical space)
Yes but not in resolution. Maybe you’ll be better off with a 4K 16:9 monitor?
@@Techtablets thank you for your tip. thats a very valid point. ips,144hz and the price sounded nice -maybe ill have to go with two 32 inches - not 4k but most do 144hz easily
I don't know why but I'm imagining sitting next to a window and half monitor is sticking out of the window 🤣😂
Haha well almost since it's that big this monitor!
@@Techtablets 😁🤪
This looks like an awesome deal. However it's a shame that it's so hard to find online.
Amazon has it all the time
This guy's knows what to sell but sadly it is not available in India
Sad :(
Any 40" flat alternatives with RGB99%?
Ur mom? Sry i coudnt resist
Looks so good, but I think it should be curved or else hard to view the sides.👍 Good review^
I would agree but since using it I think it's fine and actually like it's flat
Mate, Is that the reason why you're here?
There are 100s of curved monitor for you to look for, and only 2/3 brands are making a Flat monitor, for flat monitor enthusiasts. Your comment was irrelevant here and please look for curved ones.
220v?
Very cool, I hate curved monitors, so dumb, this one is on my radar now.
Same now I prefer flat everything, monitors and phone screens
Does 144 hz work for macbook pro usb c
Only apple screens, wanted apple now pay premium for screen and then for a foot for it from apple ofc then for psu and then for cable. I cant stop laugh from u apple guys
Nice review. I am thinking to buy one. My biggest concern is customer support from INNOCN. I wrote an e-mail asking about the warranty and here is their reply: Hi Mr./Ms., We will report your question to our colleagues, but since it is the national holiday(Oct.1~7th) they cannot handle it in time. We will email you ASAP When they respond to me. Have a great week!
Imagine if the message was about a problem with my monitor!!!
Imagine ppl have national holidays even if they are chinese
8 bits
curve missing sadly :(
Far Cry 6 is very poorly threaded so it basically self-bottlenecks the GPU. You have about 80% GPU utilization, and I expect your 3080 Ti there is either a mobile version or a downclocked desktop version if it's in that Intel NUC.
It's a full normal desktop model RTX 3080 Ti, if any thing is bottlenecking it the power limits on the Core i9 12900
Have to agree. Somethings not right for a PC of those specs to not run any game at 1440/144.
@@Techtablets True, probably power limits
@@MarkNOTW 1440p ultrawide is getting close to 4k pixel pushing, so expect 20% more frames than 4k, but a lot less than 1440
Hmm it’s weird that this one has no usb port.
Great 🤝🤝😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Mine had dead pixels. Do not buy it
looked very promising the first few seconds until i realized its not 2160p. 1440p is not suited for anything larger than 27"
Most Ultrawides are 1440p especially for gaming.
Its 1440p vertically. Still over 90 ppi, so totally fine. Care about ppi not resolutions
@@marcusborderlands6177 and still below 100 ppi. so too low anyhow
@@demorez5 any difference between 91 and 110 ppi?
It's chinese, can't really trust anything from their mouths. If they tell you about ten things, nine would be nothing but lies. For that price, better to save up a bit more and get the LG instead. 😏
It’s not gsync compatibile. The function can’t be enabled on nvidia control panel.
i can figure out how to enable freesync !!!! the monitor have adaptive sync option but not freesync in osd and in adrenaline software its say not supported !!!!! WTF can someone help me ??
