Howard Stern is a big fan of yours , he mentioned you on his show this morning that's what brought me here . Sounds like your very passionate about your channel.
I was suggested once to imagine a place that makes you feel safe and is meditative. I often try to visualize these places and you gave me the idea to write what I am visualizing before going to bed to become more centered and peaceful before going to sleep sounds like something I would like to add to your list.
It’s funny u mentioned letters- I love the idea of writing letters. I always had pen pals when I was young & revisited it as an adult, but when my father passed away five years ago, it was a sudden but two & a half week tragic struggle for him, but after he passed it was devastating for me. My dad was my person in my life- he was our family’s compass. So.. I decided to write him letters everyday in my journal- it helped me so much; I cried through each one, but it was the best therapy
Hi! I discovered your channel through Howard Stern this week. Seriously! He was talking about journaling and your videos. ☺️ I was thinking of ideas and glad he mentioned it, in his own Howard Stern way of course. 😎
Dearest Tina, you coming back to UA-cam has been such a blessing. What a wonderful video you gifted us with again. You inspired new ideas and I can't wait to see what will fill my journals in 2022. I wish you a wonderful New Year, may it be filled with peaceful days, endless love, dreams come true and creative fire ! Sending you the warmest hug 🧡
I love drawing maps in my journals. I don't go into them with the intention of meditating, but the act of filling in the landscape is pretty meditative. Plus it makes a break from pure writing.
you have a fan in Howard Stern. I was listening to his show today. He and Robin talked about your channel for almost an hour. He couldn't stop talking about you and your channel. He had a lot of nice things to say about you!
oh wow this video is such a gem! ive been watching journaling videos and they kind of show the same things like the creative journal or something about self improvement and those are good too but they're all the same and i was looking for something different and this is it! i definitely love the song a day. and as an additional prompt, i think it would also be interesting to imagine and write scenes while listening to songs with similar vibe like spring vibe or happy summery playlist
My go to way of journaling is just stream of consciousness in the mornings with my cup of coffee. Thats where all my thoughts and feelings really come together and just explode out of me onto the page. 🖤🖤🖤
This is so helpful. The past couple years I’ve done full color, full sticker/collage, and although it’s beautiful to flip through, I’m tired of it because I’ll not want to journal because the art aspect takes so much time. So I like the idea of having the equivalent of an artist’s messy sketchbook, but for journaling. So if I want to sketch something, or have a dream, or want to scribble stream of conscious writing, it’ll all go in the journal. So I think in the new year mine will be a combination of all these ideas, with no pressure to make it beautiful. I think that will be a more accurate snapshot of my life and thoughts, rather than a simply aesthetic journal. In the end for me, the messier it is, the more beautiful it is, because it’s more real to me. 💚
I am so excited for this video! One of my intentions for this year is to re-discover journaling. This will be so helpful in getting started. Thank you.
I am so ready for 2022 to be all about healing and creative recovery through writing and journaling! thank you for all these prompts! I’m definitely a letter person, and I want to try to write more, especially love letters. I also wanted to let you know that because of your previous video about Edith Holden, I asked for her journal for Christmas and my mom got it for me 😊 happy new year, Tina! I can’t wait to watch more of your content in 2022!
Howard Stern brought me here . In the segment, he was discussing journaling his process of sticking his fingers up his rectum to remove excess feces before purchasing an electric toilet system. He cited your channel as a source of inspiration
I was listening to Howard Stern this morning and he was talking about you! It’s from his Jan 4th show if you want to hear it. One of the things he said was “I wish I could be friends with Overall Adventures and call her with my journaling questions.”
Was just listening to Howard stern today and he mentioned that he was writing journals and watched your videos for ideas. It's on his Sirius Xm show today January 4th
The thing about journaling is, I know nobody's going to read it (while I'm alive at least). Yet I write with so much caution that I can't get the words out the way I want. It's like wanting to have a best friend but I can't get past the trust issues. haha
Maybe try writing on loose paper with the intention to throw it away after. Or a document on phone/computer that you delete afterwards. And if you decide you like what you’ve written you can still stick it in a notebook.
Hey there, just to let you know that you were discussed on the Howard Stern show on SiriusXM today for about a half hour. The show has millions of listeners. I wouldn’t be surprised if your channel sees some significant activity. Anyways, hopefully It helps you. Good luck!
Thank you so much for the prompts. Thinking of giving physical journaling another try this year (I mostly do digital) just to get the feeling of the pen in my hands again.
Tina, FYI; Howard Stern can’t stop gushing over you and your channel. He talked enthusiastically about you on his Sirius XM show for almost 40 min. If you have an opportunity to listen it’s his 1/4/22 show. Roughly starts at beginning of his show. Have a great day!
Safe to say this video sparked my creative fire! Last night I painted for the first time in months and it was so nice to let loose and not overthink anything. Next step is to journal! I think I'll make a little stack/jar of journaling prompts so it gives me a reminder to journal as something to look forward to! Love love love your videos! Wishing a happy new year :)
Thank you for posting this, this is such a warm video to start off my 2022 to. It's nice to hear some fresh ideas too, instead of the usual advice you hear all the time. Will definitely be doing these in the coming year!!
I'm so glad you are back on UA-cam. I've been subscribed with notifications turned on for the off chance you would come back, and here you are! You have such inspirational journaling videos and your voice is so soothing to my brain! It's like a cup of inspiration and relaxing meditation all in one. Wishing you the best New Year!
I love these ideas! I'm going to try and use them all, they all are just getting me so excited to journal more this coming year :) thank you so much Tina!
I have loved journals since my grandmother gave me one when I was around 13, the ones that had the tiny key to lock and unlock it, yes I'm that old lol, however, I don't write much in them. I am in love with the idea of journaling, but the practice of doing it doesn't last. I have bought and started several over the years, that writing in usually last a few weeks, then I find it becomes too time consuming because I can't think of anything to write about, or I have a fear of someone finding it and reading my most inner thoughts. Then I put it to the side and never really get back to it until the beginning of the next year when I make a new resolution to start again. I started making my own junk/scrapbook journals, I find I like making them more than actually writing in them. Once I get them made it seems like they are too pretty and writing would make them less so. I thought this year I would make one for each of my grandchildren and each day write the prayer I prayed for them, then give it to them for Christmas next year. Some of them are still young and probably wouldn't appreciate it, so I may continue theirs until they are older. I like the tips you have given in this video, makes it seem a lot easier to find things to write about. Thanks for sharing them. Maybe I'll be successful in completing one this year.
great ideas. this year i decided to journal digitally bcoz i have lots of journals. it's like over 30 in just 3 years. i started journalin in 2019 when i saw your videoes about journaling and i really enjoyed it. you're so inspiring keep going
Thanks for such uplifting videos, your channel constantly inspires me. I'm not sure if you have ever been through losing a loved one, but I lost my grandma 2 days before the new year and the whole processing part has been really rough. I was wondering if you knew anything about that stuff if you would maybe make a video of journaling prompts or ideas to help with grieving.
Ooo I like the magical realism idea the most! I can already imagine things around me coming to life and helping me through loneliness. Loneliness and the need for love is the one thing I have issues writing and unpacking (dunno why, it feels so embarrassing. ironically i can share it here). Maybe it'll help.
Im so damn happy that u are back Tina!! ure my one inspiration for simple journaling as the whole yt is filled with bullet journaling only and there arent much creators who give advice on simple journaling....missed ur vids so much!!! love from india
Hey im curious if you noticed a huge increase in traffic today? You were the main topic on the Howard Stern show this morning for the first half hour. Sounds like he is your biggest fan
You are so adorable! I was looking for some new ideas so I love this list. Hmmm...I don't know if I have a favorite yet...I'll probably try a bit of each until I find those that really fit my personality.
Watch, though. Channels get ruined when they blow up with disinterested traffic that never returns. Howard traffic might hurt the algorithm of the two channels he mentioned today rather help if passers-by & lookie lou trolls don't actually watch the videos.
Do you have any idea about Howard Stern talking about you on his sirius radio show? He actually wanted to be best buddies with you cuz he is obsessed with journals. It was hilarious. Even his wife said he should have married you.
I LOVED the ideas this year. Funny you mentioned creative fire, I just wrote in my new 2022 Journal “Wishing you Creative Fire -Tina” as a way to start off! Hope to be friends :) Have you ever tried writing from the perspective of the next page of your journal! I just tried it a few weeks ago after feeling inspired and found it fascinating. It was exciting to give my journal its own voice and learn what the pages had to say about me. Try it out!
