As Judge Toler used to say, women need to do a better job controlling their fertility. At 23, you aleady have 4 kids, no job, and a man who stresses you out. Why get pregnant again? She didn't know she'd get pregnant with triplets, but she continues setting herself up for failure. When you choose to have no money or [out of the home] work experience of your own to fall back on, and a bunch of kids, you are leaving yourself powerless. This man spent $37k on a damn watch and doesn't respect her, and there's nothing to be done about it because he has control over 100% of their money.

My point is mainly that HE has all the money and therefore all the power, and we know that if she DID ever leave him, she would likely remain the primary caregiver, so he would go off living his life and she would be stuck in a veeerrry tough situation.

What he did had more implications than just spending $37K on a Rolex. (1) According to his wife he got a second Rolex. (2) He bought it - possibly both of them - on credit, so if they get divorced his wife *may* be held equally liable for paying off on the watch(es).

I think he may have been preparing for divorce by trying to hide assets from his wife. If they divorced she might get stuck with paying some or all of any credit card bill, and if she believed his claim about the value of the watch she would have lost out on tens of thousands of dollars.

My advice to Mrs. Collier, while rocking your babies and him paying the bills, put forth enormous and diligent effort into your escape plan (if it comes down to that). Get as much knowledge and education as possible about providing a (large) income through entrepreneurship or a lucrative home-based career. Your life is difficult and it's going to be difficult for the next 18 years or so. Prepare well for it. YOU CAN DO IT. And PLEASE, NO MORE CHILDREN.

After the first child she should’ve went to school and build herself up as an individual but instead this man came in her life and got her barefoot and pregnant in his house constantly and controlling her. Her life is ruined. I don't care what anyone says. It is so hard to raise one child let alone SEVEN at the age of 23!!!!!!! And she has no money of her own and he has already started using the money to control her. I have two jobs and can barely care for myself and 2 dogs with that let alone seven children. She will never have free time now, nor me-time or even hobbies. Hell she won't even have peace and quiet in the house! I am so sad for her for but she is at least partly responsible for this situation.
