It’s important be very cautious when using heat on a patient with decreased sensation, they can burn without feeling it. I’d use more towel layers than typical for the first time and check every few minutes. If you’re patient with the process , you should be able to get the right amount in a few sessions, so that after treatment there is pink warm skin, not red or burned skin. The color should go away within 10-15 minutes after treatment. If it stays longer, decrease the time and/or increase number or towel layers. These hit packs don’t feel hot enough when you first wrap them, they can easily burn skin if there aren’t enough layers.

Are these hydrocollators in good condition sellable ? I have one someone was throwing away in the back of a rehab place. I was performing a hvac service call in Princeton,NJ and saw this near a dumpster. Took it home and tested it out
It does work. However, its NOT for heating,,but chilling. I had plans to make a refrigeration unit for bottle and canned beverages ( beer) , but never got to it.
I hate to scrap it. The compressor is in good shape, pulling a little below rated amps. I already used it to keep my beer ice cold. Anyone can advise me on whether its worth trying to sell it for a couple hundred dollars,or best offer ?
