Do you NEED to connect a hose to the hydroculator?
This unit is also a good way to cook your hot dogs and brats!
how often should the unit be drained and cleaned?
Medicare guidelines states it should be cleaned 1x a week at least.

What is the optimal temperature to maintain efficient hydrocollator and to disinfect the packs after each use?
500 degrees
