You spend a great deal of time explaining details that are a matter of personal preference and choice, like exactly which colors to pick (Add that seeing the swatches with their values on the canvass, may have a beginner think it's an Inkscape thing, when you made those yourself in Inkscape). Why not go into the technical details instead, and what all the different settings do... because they can be used for all kinds of stuff and in many ways. IOW: Teach about the program, not how you personally make art, or else don't call them Inkscape tutorails, but Art tutorials using Inkscape, because there is a big difference! For this I am none the wiser watching your videos!
I don't get that, as he's showing how HE specifically uses Inkscape in HIS artistic endeavors, but not Inkscape's features and capabilities, the Scatter effect can do a whole lot more than that, and he didn't explain the settings and what they do but only vaguely the ones he used specifically, and I learned nothing about gradients, nor the scatter too! All it did is raise even more questions, so no, it's not good, because all you learned was a quick and dirty trick, with no idea how many paths and groups it was making, what else the tool is good for... and so you are mistaken. A good tutorial on Inkscape (or any program) that actually explains the settings... in detail, has a whole lot more value than one that says it's about the program but is really about an artists ways of using it for their own art: not always transferable to others art, and way too narrow in scope.
@yes still you can mimic the UI. Enable dark theme and change the icon color. If You're using old version of inkscape, please downlad the dark theme from Nick's website. If You're using inkscape 1.0 or higher, them you can find it from settings probably.
Sadly I literally can't get the "Space Between Copies" below 0. The error message happens every time. The best I can get is a series of circles touching each other.
@@ZakeyDesign Thank you, but my problem now is when i release the line became shape and have a black color. It didn't became a line but inside became a shape

It works without problems even on an old laptop with 2GB of Ram, I just tested it 😀
Thank you🙏
Just goes to show what one can achieve when knowing how to use the tool.
my computer always crashes when I do this. why?
Please check the version. If possible, please upgrade with latest stable.
Look carefully in the video at the options of the scatter extension that is marked. The same thing happened to me, but it works fine 😀
May be a bug. Please report the bug with screenshots or ask in inkscape Forum. Hope they can figure it out.
