I think I figured out why I find your videos so compelling - aside from the insane production value, the humour, the expertise - is that watching someone else sperg out so heavily scratches the same itch as me doing it myself. So thank you for all the years of helping me supress my own insanity :)

Hi, thank you for the quality of your video. At the end of the video you say that for a tier1 miner you need 4 generators so I don't understand why as a starter you created 2 blocs of 5 generators ? I always thought it was for 2 miners 8 generators and 3 water pumps. Is it an optimisation for later ?

I always do 3 water extractors to 8 coal gens. That's the most efficient I believe
I always do 2 to 8 and just overclock them. Make the pipe loop back and connect each to a different end and it keeps the pipe full with no back sloshing shenanigans.

why do you have 5 coal generator when one mk 1 belt will only supply 4?
It's a module. I explain at the end that I add more as I upgrade belts and mining drills
How do you power all of these quantum portals? Surely they must suck up a lot of the local dark energy; or maybe that is why you need coal to power your base...
Just be careful licking slugs now. You never know what the affects of hypnodimensional time-slug mucus will have on the physiology of 3D-printed quantum clones.

yes, Zisteau has been my favourite youtuber for many years (i started watching his content around "SH Legendary".
and i think he has always been underwatched compared to the quality he puts out.

Totally off topic but . . . since Zisteau's last Minecraft LP was going back and playing old versions of the game I think the Beta 1.7.3 Better Than Adventure mod might be right up his alley. I just saw the mod and remembered all the stuff I used to love about old Minecraft and how Zisteau was always my favorite Minecraft LPer.

Somehow you manage to up your game to even higher levels. All the effort you pour into it and the love for what you do shines through every second, if not frame, of this video. There is no comparison, it is almost frightening how well made this is.
Yeah, best not to go recursive. Without the DVD feature to loop scenes, you can't go truly infinite once you reach a stable point, and Matt Parker already pulled THAT off near-perfectly (BnnmA2klBN8, for reference).

Super nice Intro! Although You got the updates totally wrong. Trains came with Update 4. Train collisions came with Update 5.
trains were added in update 2
Ouh. ouh. Trains weren't even a thing until update 4. But yes, you're right - technical they were added between update 2 and 3.
Z used trains in his last UA-cam playthrough, which was update 3. Trains were added early, signals way way later. Your info is wrong.
Your previous Satisfactory series was excellent, so I'm really looking forward to this one. I love the quantum portals.
That Goofy yell as they go flying, it's perfection
I tipically go on a slug hunting spree to get overclocking right off. It helps save space and you can double your coal power as you get better belts just by overclocking them up. Power and all that is all lineyer so overclocking something to 200% is the same as having 2 of that same machine. You can end up having 3 coal plants at 200% each (being the same as having 6) all being run by a single water extractor overclocked to 225% making 270 water a min. It can save a HECK of a lot of space, and cut down on lag.
I once tried to edit a video. I think it was the super advanced feature called ‘trimming’. I failed so hard the Universe imploded. 13 some odd billion year Save file down the tubes.
So I decided on my next playthrough I would save the Universe some trouble and leave ‘video editing’ to the professionals.

Titan forest the place at the lake, is the far best start base place. Big build area, all resources nearby, even coal and oil. Not far to cadmium, sulfor and quarts.
I watched your video all through high school zisteau, i literally got to meet you as one of my life goals at PAX east 2015 you signed my mug that made it all the there and home. I hope you know we still love you wether your posting videos or not. I appreciate everything you brought me, the laughs the crys everything. It makes me sad your not able to make videos as much as you use to but I will never forget the times i had watching your videos when i felt like i had nothing else in the world. That coal power plant doesn't make much sense. the coal ratio isn't very nice, the water ratio should be 3:8, and having vertical pipes in the end means the generators will sometimes run low on water. and the splitter setup means the first gen steals all the coal first
it is starter power, so prioritizes being easy to set up. A more perfect ratio needs more pipes and pipe routing.
