re: "I really like your fanbase- Everybody are so friendly!"
--It's true! From the very start I have been lucky to have wonderfully kind people commenting on my videos, time after time. :) ~Mark
The beginning looks like the countryside in "My Neighbor Totoro"!
Hola 😉
I hope you make more of these Mark, I've really been enjoying them.
It has been a real treat watching these videos of Japan in motion and seeing such relaxing scenes. I was finally able to buy your "Mastering Manga 2" book, it's been such an exciting read! It's always a pleasure to see what you draw or show us next and I can't thank you enough for the inspiration as I've been going through some tough times right now. Please, take care and once again, thank you for everything! :3
So interesting and beautiful shots! I really wang to go there one day. Thank you so much for taking the time to share it!
mark I love your videos. I loved this 3 part series you made about japan, it's really cool unlike a documentary, it just focuses on what you love about japan. Boy i love japan too but never been there. hope to go there someday, thanks again mark
Love those vlog about the beauty of scenes from Japan, taking the time to look around is nice.
Awww Ponyo :D
Your videos are always so fun to watch, whether you talk about nature or drawing, or answer questions; I always enjoy them!
Man listening to your narration is very calming
I really enjoy your vlog videos Mark
Thank you for sharing your trip! I really enjoyed it! Very educational!
Thanks for the video!! I love Japan but have never gone. So I love these video's where I can see what everyday life is like there!
Uploaded on my birthday - Love you Mark!
I loved watching this! It gives us a chance to see a bit of Japan without going there.
The views are amazing, thanks for sharing your trip with us!
Record all of your trips to Japan, Mark. They are really entertaining to watch!
awesome video!
it saddens me that this is the last of "Japan videos"
and when you go to Japan later and come back safely please make more of these
best wishes man!
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

+Jon Jaxxson Here's my 9-video "Crilley in Japan" playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBiW8y5LSHK7y13Qfo7aQmDMVTrmkaTnb.html
this is the best video on japan i've seen thanks for showing us the non commercial side :)
I'm actually living in the inaka in Japan right now for the JET Program. I love this place and your video does a good job of capturing the more traditional Japan that most people don't see when they watch shows about tokyo and kyoto etc. Been a fan for years and you are partly the reason I got interested in Japan and came so keep up the good work :)
It's so nice to see a new- but traditional -view of Japan. Most of the time you see the hot spots of Japan like the city, but thank you Mark for showing other parts to this enchanting country!
amazing insights into Japan
I took SO many screen shots~! They'll really help with my landscape practice ^_^ Awesome video~
Thanks for sharing Mark :)
hey markcrilley
I LOVE your videos and you inspired me to draw! thank you for that all.
Greetings from Germany ;)
So beautiful. ♥ Love your art btw. :)
I was in Japan 2012 and visited places like Tokyo, Magome, Hakone, and they were all so amazing in their own ways. Tokyo has so much to see, so much to do, and Magome and Hakone have such beautiful scenes of nature, like the ones you're showing here. It was such a wonderful experience.
Your videos of Japan are so nice to watch, it realy brings me back.
Such a beautiful place! Always dreamed of coming here.
First time seeing your japan vlogs, and I quite enjoyed it! :3 I'm going to see the previous ones right now x3
It's incredible how pretty and clean everything is
Seeing all the beautiful scenery almost made me cry cause it's so wonderful I wish to visit Japan!
I love these Japan videos :) So beautiful..
I really enjoy your videos. I was born and raised in Yokosuka. This is making me homesick. Thank you for glimpse of home :)
thanks for sharing mark =D
beautiful. I could watch hours of videos like this. Far more interesting then a movie.
I'm trying my hardest to learn Japanese and when I have a low point and feel like giving up, I use these videos as a real inspiration. Pretty rad dude. Thanks :')
Me too...
So fun to see actual Japanese landscapes and villages looking so similar to your drawings. Now that obviously makes a lot of sense since you are mainly drawing manga, but a fun observation never the less :)
Another one real soon ... but from where ? :3 Nice video MArk and please keep them coming , it doesnt matter from where.
Heyya Mark! Beautiful place! I was wondering do you speak fluent Japanese then? You could post a video on a few sentences in Japanese as well as drawing and explaining!! Love your videos!!
Really enjoying those views. Especially the one from the cablecar. Amazing.
thanks for the nice japan vid's you showed a little bit of japan that nobody shows
I love these vids...
Totally getting more brody's ghost books amazing those
This video made me smile. I want to go to Japan someday!
Mark, thank you for sharing these videos :D I really enjoyed them. I never really considered visiting Japan but these videos made me consider it :P when I get rich that is ;) lol
Did this make anyone else teary-eyed? I guess I just don't see many awesome views like these that much.
I really appreciate these videos. They were so beautiful. I can only wish to visit Japan someday. :c
This is really nice to look at. For some reason it brings a feeling of calmness, it's great. Thanks for the video, your work is great as always. I'd like to know how does your deadline/work for Brody's Ghost work like? Is it similar to Manga-ka's in Japan where you have to complete certain number of pages for a chapter a week or no? Thanks for your time.
this is cool Mark. :)
Nice Video, Mark. You have really captured the Japanese countryside and it's beauty. ^_^
Its so pretty in Japan!! When I'm older I want to take a trip there.
Those landscape looks so cool aaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Thank you!
Yknow i just love the way that mark is pretty well into life, but he still shows such a young lively personality. Its like hes a 50 year old weebo, and i love the hell out of it.
Thank you for this I really want to go there
Great video :)
I would love to visit japan
It looks so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. I've always dreamed of visiting Japan. Since it looks like my chances are very slim, I'm glad to get too see it anyway, even if it's only through your camera. :)
WoW Three videos Mark!! now i really need to get to get to Japan, btw i noticed that Japanese people say please like A LOT in their conversations
I'd love to try one of those fried spiral potatoes! LOL
Beautiful vid Mark, thank you for sharing it.
I love Japan so much
So many memories were made...
Please share some :D
"Last video? That's actually so upsetting"
--Last of this past summer's videos. I'd do more next time I get to go to Japan.
Awesome!!
Japan is so fascinating! Did you visit Kama Kura?
I miss Japan so much! I want to go back.
awesome stuff man! id really like to see Japan at some point, and i think i'd actually like to see small willages and the countryside a good bit more than cities :-)
Beautiful!!!
4:30 Those potato things we have them in perth too they taste absolutely divine!
This literally makes my heart ache with longing for the day I can visit Japan.
Amazing !!!
this is a really cool video! its refreshing to see someone record their visit without saying ''EEEH? KAWAAAIII!'' every two seconds xD
We have those potato spiral thingies also in the Netherlands! They are absolutly delicious! You can also add some flavour like cheese and BBQ
"At 13.1 kilometers (8.1 mi), the Great Seto Bridge ranks as the world's longest two-tiered bridge system."
Apparently ÖresundsBron is 5 miles long. :) ~Mark
Awesome!
Japan looks like such a wonderful place! I really hope to visit some day. Suddenly I feel like I should get move involved with the japanese language. Thank you for sharing! :)
Both the potato spiral and the umbrella carried around for shade is something that you see often in South Africa. I agree though, the potato is very good!
I love this.
I often go to Gindaco^^
Ahh I really want to go to Japan! But I'm terrible at languages :/ also I love how you say: 'real soon' at the end of each video!! :)
Geez, they talk quickly. I have a hard enough time trying to understand Japanese as is when it doesn't sound all distorted and metallic XD
If I'm not mistaken the bridge at 5:33 is really famous and constructed from vines.
I often hear about it but i forgot the name (maybe "Kazura Bashi"). it's a popular place from what ive heard from people in this area of japan. its not too far from my home which is near the Seto Ohashi bridge (the large metal bridge you showed in this video) so its easy to get to and somewhat cheap for the people of the area.
(I say somewhat cheap because the ticket to get across the bridge is a bit expensive. compared to normal ticket cost.)
I wonder if at some time we crossed paths in japan as i am often on the Seto Ohashi line.
If you ever visit this area again I hope I would have a chance to meet you. There are some other really wonderful places in Kansai.
I went to Japan this summer and it was amazing! I was in Tokyo and Kyoto (Nara and Osaka also).
love it Mark... you should take me to Japan next time you go XDD
Great! I'd love to go there someday. I'm currently learning to speak & write in Japanese. Wish me luck
Beautiful! I wish I could go!!!
do you have any advice for a not too expensive "one month trip" to japan? (best would be if you dont need any language skills... [dont have any ^^]) -> advice for one week tokyo and 2 or 3 weeks countryside...
Mark on 4:31 those (spirals) you talk about, yes they are delicious. But we have them here by where I live we usually eat that with either ketchup or with mexican hot sauce
your in japan so cool i would love to go when im older
Awesome
Fantastic Japan video, thanks for sharing man, really. Im so inspired by japan, my art especially, the landscapes and scenery amazing, so yea im just like you, i like everything about japan, i would be stupid not to visit japan one day
Mark! You need to upload a Draw My Life! That would be so awesome
Those are some beautiful views, I gotta say!
It's all so beautiful and amazing! :D I wanna go to Japan someday! ^^
I love Japan so much and the rice fields too so thank you Senpai Mark
I hope to live/work in Japan one day, These videos make me sooooo happy.
We have a cove like that in New Zealand Crilley, come to New Zealand, and you will see Japan, but with different housing.
I have a parrot that I named Ponyo, because one, I really loved the movie and two, she has almost the same color as Ponyo. Makes me wish I could break away from work and head to Japan it looks so relaxing there, thanks for the video.
That hotel veiw looks almost just like the view I had from a hotel in Greece. only difference really was that you could see the ocean and the mountains were slightly shorter. ( and covered in Olive trees, lots and lots of Olive trees)
Mark is so cool, I wish I could go to Japan.
Again, I am jealous sir. Japan looks amazing. Great video BTW.
