Makoto Misumi was just an average teenager who suddenly was summoned to another world as a "hero." But the goddess of this world called him ugly and took his hero status away from him, then sent him to the ends of the world. He meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and many other non-human races in the wastelands. Makoto manages to show promise in the use of magic and fighting, which he wouldn't have been able to do in his former world. He has numerous encounters, but will he be able to survive this new world? A fantasy where a guy who gods and humanity had abandoned tries to reset his life in this new world is about to begin!

Nah. That’s just what happens when you insult a lich’s intelligence. They’re all wizards, so calling them idiots is a major “do not push” button.
Even though Shiki has a pleasant exterior he is an evil lich that experimented on Hyumans and did many bad things in his day, he is no stranger to the type of behavior that beings with power display as well.

@@dragonkingoscurare1092Keep in mind that aside from the contract, Makoto let him live despite their first encounter and as he is with him and his subjects, he's a nice leader and more powerful than him so not only did they insult his intelligence but his benefactor's as well and said benefactor was also a lifesaver (despite being the reason he lost in the first place) and helped him to stop continuing a useless research
He made them fly higher with earth magic than they could with wind magic.
They should thank him.
"My Earth Magic made it so Earth's gravity affected you less."
I wouldn't really call that flying, but they did go higher up.
@@Someone--Elsewell because of physics they would’ve flown off the top if the earth pillars suddenly stopped (if the floating spell was still working they would be floating higher after this)
I love how Makoto thought Shiki would have been level-headed only to quickly find out that he has the same way of thinking as Tomoe and Mio. 😂

Shiki did nothing wrong. He was wonderfully restrained....compared to what Mio and Tomoe would have done! Loved that he sort of came out of his shell in this episode.
