That said, she does receive some unwarranted hate from casuals to the series for apparently being "boring". By boring they of course mean she's not an unrealistically written character who can kick men into the stratosphere like Chie, or is a pop-culture icon that wants to be normal like Rise or a kid detective chick like Naoto. But that's why I like Yukiko, because she's more grounded, more realistic and more flawed because that makes for more interesting characters.

Yukiko is just the best girl. People say she is shit or boring but she is normal compared to all of the others. Has a cool social link. Is smart. Has a good sense of humor. And is hella helpful in battles. Pretty much a normal girl with a brain on her head. Unlike some of the others in the series. Well done Yukiko!

Actually, you need to max out and romance Yukiko, Chie, Ai or Ayane/Yumi. If not, you will get Rise by default regardless if you have max out along with romancing her or not.
