Beginning drumming have my first Remo Black Buffalo drum it's a 16 inch with a beater.. now want one or both of the drums you played in this video Very very nice both drums sound incredible i listened with headphones
Well, listen to it in parts or put it in the background while you practice, you'll see how you get it ... and if not, that last time playing will make you enjoy or take your own rhythm. Regards¡¡
Hi, forgive me for answering late ... With a club not very hard played with care yes. The problem with this patch is that it does not warn you if it is breaking or loosening. When it breaks, it cracks and has no repair ... If you want to ask something else, write us at info@cloudmusicstore.es Best regards¡
Hello, I have a 22 inch fiberskyn drum that doesn't sound like this at all. It sounds very flat, I don't know how to explain it. It has no resonance at all :(. Have I gotten a bad piece or can it be fixed?
Hello, sorry for the delay in responding to you. Well, it's not to discourage you. But from my 12 years of experience with Remo, I know that there has been a season when they did not sound the same. The way the synthetic leather is glued was not equally firm on everyone. I think that may be why and also very important. We have recorded with professional recording conditions. Influence the headphones or speakers you have, etc. I'm sorry I don't give you a more concrete answer. All the best 😉
renaissance is more crisp and loud to my ears. some people on forums and amazon complain that their renaissance gave up after a few weeks and its dull. i wouldn't want to buy one that fades out in a few weeks. i am looking forward to buy one. please help guide with this issue. many thanks

Hi Adelynn¡¡ If they are the new models, but from what we know they are the same as the previous models. If you need anything else do not hesitate to write us .... Best regards
Adelynn Tan It looks like and old one. I bought a Suede one a few months ago, it sounded like a biscuit tin lid and was as hard as one, I sold it a week later on Ebay.
Definitely suede. Which sucks compared to the old renaissance ones, which the 22" is the best frame drum i have ever heard. i don't even like frame drums, but had to get one after hearing it. It sounds incredible. Don't buy the new ones that are suede but have "renaissance" printed on them. Remo does that shady crap sometimes.
Is this 22” suitable for beginners? I really like the resonating sound of the 22” not the 16” or anything smaller. Is it still recommended to get the 16”, as a beginner, before moving up to a 22”? Thanks
Hello how are you Our opinion is that it depends on several things. Yes on the one hand it is easier to learn with one of 16 "for its size, both when giving the touches and getting used to hold it, it is more comfortable. But on the other hand they sound so different that if what you like is the sound of the 22 "you can learn exactly the same. It's a matter of the hours you spend enjoying and practicing. At the end of this video you have a link to a comparison of the 16 ". Greetings, thanks for writing!
I like the sound of Fiberskyn more. It sounds more like a real skin, softer and not as ringy as renaissance. One thing I really don't get is why isn't Remo making these tunable? I want to tune my frame drum to a specific note. At least, they could tune every drum the same, like in this case in A. But no, I bought my renaissance 22 inch a few years ago, hoping it will be tuned to D, like I heard in most youtube videos, but no. It came tuned to D sharp. I really like the sound of these drums, but the inability to tune them is a major turnoff.
It's tricky to make a tunable frame drum. You need a tensioning ring inside the frame, and lugs inside the frame with hex-head bolts that press the tensioning ring against the head. If it were easy, Remo would do it -- their tunable djembes are very nice.
@@charlescohen1536 they can't do it because of the Acusticon shell which is quite thin and not very strong. It keeps the cost down, but it can't be tunable.
ive always been very moved bu the drum. sometimes to tears. my kids and my parents all play guitar and piano. i wonder if im to old to pick up a new talent!. ive been feeling a pull to a drum like this one but i just am afraid i will be disappointed in myself. i feel embarrassed so i havent told anyone about my desire for one. what do you think?
Hello, I sincerely believe that you should try. No one is going to ask you to be a great musician, try to play with the intention of being happy, letting yourself be carried away by the sound and little by little it will sound better. And if what you want is to learn rhythms, there are many tutorials and it's like everything. With a little practice, things come out. Of course, I would recommend you to start with a smaller frame drum of 16 " they cost very little and you can give that whim you can try even with a drumstick to play. There is no age to play the drum, we use it with elderly people with Alzheimer's to do music therapy sessions and have a great time. I send you another video of another size. Kind regards¡ ua-cam.com/video/aB9Hm0citW4/v-deo.html
You are NEVER too old to learn! The very fact that you are moved so deeply by the drum, means you need to do this, for your own soul. I do not believe in "talent" as such...instead, there is passion plus skill...the passion you have inside you, and the skill is learned by doing. It's okay if nobody ever hears you. Love yourself and never judge yourself, and just enjoy the pleasure you get from learning and growing with something that you love.
¡espero haberte ayudado! Un saludo, gracias por escribirnos!😉
So is there any way right now to buy an old, godly sounding, REAL Renaissance skin 22inches framedrum from remo? Or are we condemned to the new fake renaissance suede heads?
My 22" fiberskyn just arrived. My first instrument. Im buzzing like my drum 😁
How's the drumming going?! :)

You could try using a hair dryer to carefully tune the head with the hot air. Just an idea, I'd definitely be careful about it though, haha
@@andrewyates1765 I might try this.
