      you don't tune a saxophone, the player has to tune every note they play, whatever de temperament is, just like a fretless instrument.

    • @AndrewBernsteinspage
      @AndrewBernsteinspage 3 роки тому +15

      I use microtonal fingerings to nail pitches in between standard 12 tone equal temperament, but as the others note, a lot of intonation work is done by the embouchure (and ear), whether you're playing microtonally or not.

    • @ckaledin
      @ckaledin 3 роки тому +1

      A lot of their songs are built around a polyrhythmic feel, which is a combination of contrasting rhythms. Horse lords love using a rhythm of four beats overlapping three beats, like Nieves said. Reminds me a lot of the Bembe feel you can hear in African and Afro-Cuban music. 6/8 or 4/4 in a triplet feel. Which one is it? You decide

If you go in with an open mind, you might find something you like. It might not all be gratifying or understandable at once, but if you find one or two things you like, it could introduce you to something new and exciting.
