Who's comment am I making a video of next then? 🤣
Ideas
How do I grow my tcg
How do I get people to play my tcg
How do I think of products for my game
Or what types of products can I make
How big should my sets be?
I second the idea of a marketing video!
This video is awesome, personally for my TCG Epic Underworlds it has to ether be the plethora of 10+ different card types or the unique deck point building system. These videos are really nice to watch, and it's giving so much inspiration for newer creators so keep it up :)
Interesting. I've often wondered about a deck point building system before. There have been some great creators before me, but it would be amazing to have some future titans of the homemade TCG community claim they learned from watching my videos.
Thank you so much.
Congrats on 4k subs guys! You earned it!
Thanks, man.
Thank you so much for this video! I've been wondering if I was late to the tcg creating party as I see so many innovative & creative games out there. But, you've helped rekindle my inspiration to never give up! Cheers!
Thank you for the inspiration that sparked this video. It's great to answer a genuine question through a video because you know at least one person might find it useful 😅
I believe as long as you have fun playing your game, then others will as well.
Im here! Yay! Yeah my TCG is Very Original. but has the sentiment of other TCGs. im hoping to get a Cult following like the Big 3 only because it’s so different I might not get people to move from what they are used to. it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
He who dares wins. If you believe it could be what people are looking for, then go for it!
I feel my current tcg is pretty unique, in terms of mechanics
My trading card game is inspired by magic the gathering because this is the most familiar and that I had played.
So, “I don’t know I should come up with a name right away Magic Apocalypse.” That is a name and it’s my first ever trading card I am drawing on my channel and I want to use keywords from Magic the gathering like flying/reach while having my own keywords.
In my game artifacts are your cards and resources they do things in the game while use them to cast other spells.
A lot of keywords should be fine. I have heard that wizards copyrighted the word "tap" when used to turn a card sideways. Obviously, any TCG can still use the action of turning a card sideways, but I would just double-check keywords that are tied to specific actions in case there is some form of protection.
@@ShardTCG I look up the word they paTTAN the mechanic tapping things but I have saw other trading card games have the tap mechanic because I don’t believe you can copyright tapping your cards like you said.
Shard, you gonna be in the HTCG sale on the game crafter next month?
We said we were up for it when asked by the gamecrafter, but we haven't heard anything since. So I'm assuming we will be.
Fingers 🤞

I believe theme would be the main draw. If you show me a game with pony characters, that's enough for me to say no. We have to realize that some people progress from Pokémon to Magic and those two are vastly different games. If magic isn't your first game, it is most likely going to be the most intensely different game you will ever encounter...and many people follow that path. I'd be more afraid of having a game that looks too much like an existing well known game.
I completely agree.
I may even do a Talk TCG on the importance of the theme of your game. Thank you for your insight.
