Really glad you spent forever talking and sped through the actual job 🙄

You did all that talking and then fast forward everything so no one could see what!,and how to replace everything!! Great job 👏

Had my checy parked for 6 months because of the stability control code. When i finally called chevy the service guy said to just clear it. And that was 150,000km ago but could of been due to rear brakes, just replaced them and they work better then when they were new.

will a light always come on if something going wrong? Some reason my brakes are not stopping like they should. I changed the front, but they were good. I never changed the rear brakes since i got the truck in 2009

What size and style is the socket that you removed the rear brake cylinder with. It's a Torx pin bolt. Need to buy the socket ASAP and looking for it's size and style

Great video, especially on the bleeding process.

Thanks. I watched two other videos, for the wrong year Chevy Silverado (mine is a 2009)--big difference. Your video is dead on in so many ways. Just what I needed! Talk all you want, lots of good information if your viewer just listens! I noticed you replaced the brakes before replacing the cylinder. I would have liked a little dialogue about replacing the brakes first and the cylinder second, or whether it matters. Also, flushing the brake fluid and the best sequence according to your experience. Brakes, cylinder, flush and replace brake fluid seems to be your sequence. Just wondering if flushing the brake fluid prior to replacing the cylinder might make more sense so no old brake fluid gets into the new cylinder? Just wondering. Thanks again for the great instructional video!

@@ohmmms6856 drums depending on where you buy can range from 40 to 120 ea for stock replacements. Sounds like typical car parts stores. Sucks but true

Very informative but he could have used the mighty vac to suck the fluid from the brake reservoir and saved a little time.

Next time slow down on the actual work. People clicked on this video to see how to do the job. Seeing it at 10x speed doesn't help much.
