A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ UA-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of UA-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on UA-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This UA-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

RIP Chester!!
I wasn't like a super fan.. I had only heard a few of their songs when Chester passed away and I was heartbroken. I love every song I have heard since! Such a tragic loss for not only his family but fans and the music industry.
Hybryd Theroy is the name of the album this came off of. The whole album is 🔥fire🔥
That was also the band`s name when Chester first joined. (Their first lead vocalist Mark Wakefield back in the Xero days was an abusive alcoholic, homophobic,racist,misogynistic fundie asshole his more progressive bandmates did not "feel" at all) Then they changed it to Lincoln Park but that was taken by an actual park in the area so Mike suggested they change it to Linkin Park to sound "more street" and the rest is history!
@@AspieMediaBobby Mark Wakefield wasn't any of those things... Where the hell did you get this information??? He left on his own due to REAAALY bad anxiety and stage fright and being a singer just wasn't his thing, he would constantly work himself up whenever he would go to preform live because he felt as if he wasn't good enough, and in the process, developed stage fright.

@@BrandonWestfall honestly, I'm not even sure that that's just him being ignorant, I honestly think he could have made that up just to slander Mark, oh, and also, I just read Jeff Blues book, and as it turns out Mark didn't leave on his own terms, he was actually fired for, quite literally, sucking at singing. They describe his voice as super out of key when singing live, that the record label who was looking to sign them left the venue. Linkin Park were amazingly talented. Mike (The rapper) plays all kinds of instruments, he sings very well, he writes most songs. His other band was Fort Minor. Also great.
Chester...What can you say about Chester? He was the best. That voice. Chester was an amazing talent that we lost to soon. Still breaks my heart.

Their first album was a revelation. It was so good.
It was fresh to people...when they came out nobody had heard anything like it...their sound spread like wild fire after.....

This band is part of my generational memory. Their music enabled so many people to endure mental illness, and Chester's passing (rest his soul) was a wake up call to talk about these things.
Breaking the habit, or Faint. Def one of my favorite bands ever, even did a collab with JayZ once remixing their songs together (and performing them live). Love the rap/rock mix

Mike Shinoda grew up loving rap. The man is a musical genius. One Step Closer is the song that drew me to LP. Never heard a song by them I didn’t love. Their lyrics are so relatable. Mike released a rap album, The Rising Tied, also great. Love your reactions 👏🏻👏🏻

I’m sorry I won’t be able to add to your views on this one because it still hurts too bad to listen and/or watch their music because of Chester’s death. That being said, YOU would be doing yourself a severe injustice though if you don’t listen to every single song of theirs. I’m telling you, they will change your life. I’ve been a fan, like a hardcore fan, of theirs since the first day their first album released

I am 53 soon 54 and this is my favorite band! When I heard this in the early 2000's I was blown away. I have listened and loved music from the 60's ( Black Sabbath ) to 70's, 80's and 90's. This includes Loving Metallica, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Dokken,Foo Fighters, Motley Crue, Michael Jackson, Charlie Daniels Band, Shine Down and the list goes on but my point is I have listened to

They also did a mash-up album with JayZ which is one of my favorite cd’s. So they combined songs like Jay-Z Dirt Off Your Shoulder with Linkin Park Lying my Way From You. It created these really dynamic rap/rock songs that were really bad ass! You should check them out!

I miss Chester. His voice and mike's helped me through some tough times growing up in the ghetto. R.I.P. chester...your voice will be remembered forever. This music is timeless.
LP started out as Xero, members of an LA alternative hip hop collective called Junkyard Scientific. Xero's thing was adding alternative metal elements into their hip hop sound. They later changed their name to Hybrid Theory, got a new singer, and started adding elements from 80s new wave rock as well. But at the time, rap rock was really popular, especially Limp Bizkit, so Warner Records was scouting for the next act they could sell to the Nu Metal rap rock audience. They snatched up Hybrid Theory, changed the name to Linkin Park, and tried to sell this hip hop group as a rock band, marketing them as the next Limp Bizkit, even though they wrote a diss track about Limp Bizkit and rap rock, called "Step Up", in which they called that kind of music "rapping over rock" and said it was inauthentic and had no hip hop credibility.

The Linkin parks album was my first CD for my new Walkman. I wore that shit out. Cds were too expensive to have a bunch at 9/10 years old. I still love that album. It always will remain close to my heart.

I refuse to believe you haven't heard that song before... no way man. It's played on the radio constantly, it's everywhere, even people I know who take pride in not listening to alternative and rock music know every single word of it and sing along.

Linkin Park early days are in the genre of Rap Metal. This is a fine example of those early days, and they were glorious. And the guy can sing too.
Linkin Park are legends, they mixed rap and rock so smoothly! The lead singer Chester Bennington passed away, you have to listen to more of them!

Chester Bennington (R.I.P) was the singer/screamer. You really gotta listen to Given Up in order to see what I mean by screaming. Mike Shinoda is the rapper/singer. There are too many songs that I love by them. The first time I heard this song, they gained me as a fan.

Linking Park was an amazing band but Chester (lead singer) was an outstanding talent whose demons eventually caught up with him. He left us too soon RIP 😔 But to me, one of their best songs is Crawling! It's so powerful and it's coming from a deep place for Chester as he experienced abuse himself as a boy.
Chester’s pipes still give me chills to this day.
I have a back log of your videos to go through so idk if you have reacted to it yet or not but given up by Linkin Park is a song that literally saved my life. I was feeling suicidal and I put it on and it helped tremendously to know that someone else felt exactly the same way that I did. Also papercut and one more light. They have a lot of good songs.
