I really like springers so I am respectfully going to explain why they can be better then flywheels in some situations. With flywheels you can quickly run out of ammo if you don't have much mags, while with a springer you can preserve the ammo if you're just having a smaller war. Flywheels are sometimes used due to their speed advantage, but a springer with slam fire can be faster than some semi automatic blasters. While I do like flywheels, springers are also practical.

Why the Retaliator? There are many Nerf guns better than it, the top priming is very slow, and annoying as well as no slam fire. Retaliator vs stryfe a stryfe will win 90% of the time,

The only thing I don't like about flywheels is the noise but semi auto has always been my style. They also can be crazy expensive and I don't just find money under my pillow every morning
That collapsible stock is so you can go close quarters smg style once you've breached you way into the building and then right back to rifle when you're ready to move out to the next building or hold up inside and pull sniper status from a window.

Not hating or anything but to mod a flywheel blaster (i mean heavily mod) you have to replace a lot of wiring and buy motors and batteries, to mod a spring blaster just buy a 20$ orange mod works kit, install it and done. The point is that modify a flywheel blaster is more expensive than modify a spring blaster.
Oh and i forgot it, if you don't have rechargable batteries you have to buy new batteries every time yours runs out, and trustfires/ultrafires/lipos are not cheap

My son got a raptorstrike from someone as a gift and he needs to be able to compete with his sister's modded Stryfe and my Nemesis. Edit; I want to put at least a 12kg spring in but I'm afraid that without somehow adding metal trigger catch or something it would just be too powerful for the plastic parts

I like flywheel blasters too but the only thing I hate is the whirring sound it makes when firing, but springers make a pop sound instead of that annoying whir.
Fly wheel blasters are better but it does depend, with the strife you can rev fast and finger bang fast making it shoot faster than a out of the box full auto blaster
I like spring for sidearms and stealth missions but if your not ambushing something , like if your in your base in an all out war or surprise attacking in a squad use a stryfe :) ( well that's what I do)

air restrictors and I use elite darts cut in half.

I'm a Springer and I say slam-firing is good exercise for your arm. Switch arms every 10 shots and make a exercise out of it.
