Bangkok is nowhere near as dirty as many major cities ,including of the first world like New York City. It's packed with people but it's not bad organized. I lived in Bangkok 10+ years and there were never blackouts despite millions and millions of AC units work 24/7. Hospitals are excellent, even better than many of the West. Crime is ridiculously low, much lower than major cities like London or Paris. Shopping malls are amazing. Beautiful women are allover. Transportation with skytrains, undergrounds, boats, taxis is very good and it somewhat helps to reduce the crazy traffic. There are zillions of places to eat great food, for any taste and wallet. Bangkok is not bad at all. It's hot like hell but yoi have AC everywhere. I take Bangkok over most cities in the world.
