How to cook cassava with canned coconut milk.

  • Very easy boiled cassava recipe. A lot of filipinos like it this way. But we usually use fresh coconut milk. Here I am using canned coconut milk but i didn't see any difference in the taste.
    Ingredients:
    400 to 500 grams cassava roots
    1 cup of water to partially cook the cassava
    1/2 cup to 1 cup brown sugar
    400ml canned coconut milk or coconut cream
    Just a reminder: Cassava is toxic if not thoroughly cooked.

    super delicious seems like food for the gods.specially if you dip it in it's coconut milk juice when eating it.

      You can add only a little. For health conscious recipe, 1/4 cup is enough. But we like that it taste the same from my country of origin so I added 1 cup of sugar.
      There are more sugar added on regular cakes than this...
