I've never commented in any UA-cam videos my entire life, but watching how passionate Daddy Lau about teaching his heritage to others is so, so moving. I'm actually crying because I wish I had the same kind of relationship with my dad as you do. Daddy Lau is the dad I never had. You're very blessed. Much love and respect for Daddy Lau and your family ❤️
For those making these at home, my Taiwanese MIL would always say, ‘if your filling falls out, that’s ok. It just becomes part of the water, and you serve it as soup.’ No matter what, it will be delicious and a gift to anyone you are serving this dish. So set fear aside and wrap away 😊

Every recipe has a lot of thought, passion and research put into it, not to mention that the information is given out systematically and is easy to understand. Keep it up, Randy. I look forward to watching more of these masterclasses. P.S. Your interaction with your dad is so wholesome that it warms your viewers hearts and puts a smile to their faces. I hope you and your family continue to be happy for many more years.

How can one possibly dislike this video. Loved how Father Lau was so delighted seeing your enjoyment eating what he cooked. Pure fatherly love 💚 So wholesome, thanks for your efforts and best wishes to your lovely family.
Your dad is absolutely right about not using ground meat for wontons/dumplings. For years, I've been trying to perfect my dumpling recipe but I just seem to never get it right (i was using store bought ground pork). One day I decided to mince my own pork and it really changed the game. Thank you for all the great tips!!
What a beautiful family you have, I love the way your dad strokes your head and the relationship he has with your son is too cute. The wantons look delicious.
years ago i tried to follow my grandma's recipe for wonton soup. my wrapping technique was pathetic and I think I boiled it too long so the wrappers slipped off and dissolved into the soup. my grandma fondly called it my "creamy naked wonton soup" hahaha she's passed on now but maybe she'll appreciate me trying again. :D

Good cloud swallowing skin with small yellow fish dry grinding powder to mix flour made, cooking cloud swallowing will also put small fish dry soup, in addition to shrimp allergy can be used with column or abalone, shrimp to replace is also good, especially shrimp pulp taste is very good. However, the most traditional and classic of course is pure pork

I’ve also printed out all your recipes abs made them into a binder…I can’t wait to add more! Thank you and your Dad and your whole family for bringing us so much!
At 19:50 what a wholesome moment where I can almost see the father rewinding those years and imagining he is stroking his young son's head.
I don't have a dad but I'd imagine as a father now, this would be exactly how I would feel when my son shows interest in my cooking and sharing a moment.
Man there is just so much incredible information in these videos. I love learning the meaning of words like wonton and the reason for techniques used
Thank you brotha!!!

These look so good. I love wontons! Wonton noodle soup is one of my favs.
Is it wrong that the best part for me is the faces that little Cameron made?! Especially 24:35. I think it is cute and funny. But I also love that Daddy Lau is allowing us to learn all his tips and tricks for Chinese cuisine
Hong Doy is adorable and has grown more and more each week. He's going to walk soon, better tie down and put away your "breakables" around the house" LOL!
Your father is great. I wish my dad was so patient and understanding! Love these videos. It's really nice to learn how to cook Cantonese cuisine with Cantonese explaination and english recipe as my Chinese reading is not that good.
One of the most wholesome channels on UA-cam. Your dads our Chinese uncle lol
RANDY GLAD TO SEE YOUR DAD IS TEACHING YOU HIS ART AND SKILL .FIRST TIME IS DIFFICULT .THE MORE YOU PACK THE MORE YOU BECOME PERFECT .
ITS A MATTER OF TIME TO LEARN THE ART AND SKILL. ONLY THING IS THE MATTER OF TIME AND PATIENCE.
CHEF NEED TIME.
FOOD TAKES TIME. THIS WAY THE DISH COME OUT TASTY DELICIOUS AND YUM YUMMY.
I 👀 that pickle jar being repurposed. Who's parent didn't repurpose almost every glass jar to keep all types of spices?!? ❤ the home style cooking from all my childhood favorites. Thank you Lau family! Keep up the great work!

I love listening to Daddy Lau's cantonese. It is the only cantonese I understand. Plus his cooking of course.
Taking notes!

Collab when?!
Lots of love and gratitude to your whole family, Randy! Thank you!
Granpa. U look so good when you were young, of course still handsome 😄
So nice dumpling~~~ thank you❤
Hello Korea how are you doing?
Thank you for all the recipes you have posted. I am only 1/4 Chinese but my dad always almost cooks Chinese meals and being away from home makes me miss his cooking. Discovering your channel helped me remake my dad’s cooking and gives me comfort away from home. Thank you very much.
I look forward to the time I can make this. And it makes me happy seeing a happy family. C: so wholesome.
Definitely on my list to cook with my boyfriend when travelling is allowed again ^_^
Daddy Lau's videos are so approachable and satisfying 😌 I'm loving the Q&A during dinner and as always Mom's send off at the end. Truly hoping you guys have 1 million subscribers soon!
The recipe is why I'm here but that baby is so precious I just want to eat him. Too cute for words.
Thank you Papa Lau and family for making these videos. Brings me back to childhood, remembering watching the elderly making their wontons and dumplings. Keep up the great work! You and your dad are so cute... Padding you on the head 😁
If you can put some 大地魚粉 into the meat, it’ll taste even better !
the secret ingredient
👍I LOVE Mr Lau's Cooking weblog SINCE 1. Details/Clear instructions = Easy to follow/Succeed 2. Tasty recipe 3. explaining/History of the Dish added 😊 I VOTE Mr Lau's Cooking weblog is the BEST = very Professional presentation.😍 Thank You / USA
I wish more Chinese takeout restaurants served your dad's food. I'm so tired of places serving chicken filled corn dogs with cherry jello "sweet and sour" sauce.
If you live in or near a city, go to the chinatown and order something actual chinese people eat.
What impresses me more than the fabulous recipes, is the love you can feel thru the screen you and your family have for each other.
I mean, the title...
Uncle Lau loves and cares for his family. I love your cooking videos.
Thank you for the recipes and sharing experiences of your dad's wonderful cooking journey. Your dad is simply AMAZING!!
Amazing and another must make. Mr. Lau is so informative and gives you information you would not know about otherwise! Sure hoping a cookbook comes out soon! Imagine the world following the Lau family traditional recipes.
It’s so nice to see your family enjoy the food that your dad made. How I wish I can support you
I’m stuck in my room quarantined and binge watching all these videos 😂 pops is cool ! I love this whole family dynamic. I love that these grandparents get to cook for their grand baby and spend time ♥️ y’all stay blessed !

What a lovely heritage that the old and young share and cherish together! I miss my Lolo and Lolas too ( Filipino grandparents)
I love your family! I love seeing all the food you make for dinner. Can you tell the people watching what the additional food dishes are that you eat for dinner, that are on the dinner table?
