How was the noise floor with the condenser running through the xvive & the wireless go?
Doesn't fit my book mics from Sony or audio technica. So disappointed! 😢 and then ya to late to return them
I was think in make DIY because no any brand made one. and now this appears to my feed. and price is good. I can improve it. I am in midle of this thing if i cant get it or need to pass to next project for sure i buy this thing or v2.
why rode ntg5 to xvive p1 phantom power to xlr to 3.5mm plug in camera (sony a7iii) has electric current voice, i can't solve it , do you have any good idea ? thank you !

Hey, so looking to buy this, but how does the boom op monitor how his audio sounds as there is no output on the rode, would it be easier to have the boom go into the 60D MKII hung round the boom op’s neck and then a wireless go II out to the sound monitor/direct cam input? Any advice please 🤩

-What am I missing here. Why do you have ann that extra stuff Mic Batt pluged into the Road, when you could just use the rode?
The sound quality of the shotgun microphone is wayyyy better but only for specific uses. For films you would opt for a shotgun microphone if budget allows.
I would say 95% of the stuff you show on here would be totally useless to me if I am honest but I still watch and enjoy your content Chris.. hope ya well fella - whatever happened to your drunken stupor nights with musings? 🤣

Just found out about this myself. I'm pretty new to the whole world of pro audio so I had a question, hoping someone could help me out. I have a Rode NTG3B that uses phantom power. I want to use it as an on-camera mic with a Red Komodo which unfortunately only accepts 3.5mm audio and has no phantom power. Could I just plug this device into the NTG3B and then have an XLR to 3.5mm cable run from the device into the Komodo directly? I've heard the Komodo's preamps are decent.

Thanks Jason, I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work. I haven't ever used a red so I can't say with 100% certainty that it will but that is exactly how I use it with my cameras. I hope that helps!

Hi Jason, I'm also a RED Komodo owner and I also looking to use my NTG3 with a system like this. Did it work okay and what did you use to convert the XLR to a 3.5mm jack?
Can I use this with a sure beta 87a?
