Glad you're back. I enjoy your reviews. Quite honest and up front. Keep it up!
Thanks for another informative review!👍🏻
Fantastic in-depth honest review
Great video! Clear and informative.
Great review!
"if you are a grizzly bear, S1R will balance quite nicely" 😂😂😂
very nice colors! very nice review!
Great informative video thanks
Its been a while, good to see you back.
Great review. I really want to like this camera but I wish this had the S1H screen. I shoot both video and stills for a variety of professional use and I actually use the flip screen on the GH5 95% of the time for stills. It just allows faster recomposition and more creative angles as well as the ability to shoot from a floor up or a wall out for architectural work.
Thanks for this great review. A few question a long time after date because i'm thinking of buying one for video : In a few very short tests i've noticed some aleazing on the thin line (something like moire) issus and it seems that you have the same manifestation when you activate ibis on the frange of the wood of the tree ( between the dark of the tree and the clear of the wall behind.) Did you see this often ? if yes did you notice a link wih ibis or with the frame rate or resolution.
The HiRes mode has a strength and that is a bit in contrast to what you are saying here: mode 2 lets you shoot scenes with things moving in it. It will replace everything that has moved with an upressed 47,3MP Image. So it is useless when the subject is moving, but if the subject is till and the rest is moving it is not a problem. Or not so much,
Great If you can make comparison between Panasonic S1R VS S1H in term of video featuring , thanks
yea, but I, personally, like the tough build and I don't mind the weight... if I want something lighter, I've got the fuji xh1...
So good review! Thanks!
Hello, I bought this camera after having the Canon R5 which for me it was a mistake, This camera produces images superior to any camera I have ever owned. S little slow on focus but I ignore it. My main issue is the left side of the camera gets hot after shooting 138 pictures. Tried yesterday again and at 180 it got hot again. No video was shot, and was in the morning at cool temperatures. Am I having a defective camera?
I tried one i a shop, the ergonomics were very good, but as you say very heavy.
I love how heavy it is though. You get used to it after awhile
Heavy? I can't believe how soft people are today! 1.7KG is not heavy at all!
Welcome back. What city did you film this in?
My hometown of Zagreb as always.
"if you're a grisly bear"😂😂😂
lol
What's the price
How would it compare to the A7RIII? Just wondering because I'm not sure if I should upgrade to full frame in the future, I have a G9 right now
Sony is smaller, lighter and probably has better focus tracking. Also more lenses at this point. Ergonomics, build quality, IBIS effectiveness are better on Panasonic. IQ and video similar. Depends what you need and/or prefer.
@@Camerahoarders Hopefully if I start getting an income soon I will look into that. I'm mainly concerned about performance and stability. I am sort of worried about mft because of how dominant FF is becoming in the market. I like the low price of them and stuff but I'm always wondering if I will still be able to stick to the system, you know?
@@Camerahoarders Just bought the Lumix S1R after renting one for a week. Coming from the Sony 7R2 which I loved but it died on me. The pictures on Lumix S1R look like they were taken with a Leica. More 3 dimensional . Hope I did the right thing. I got a great deal on a brand new one with a 24 to 105. Macro photos are amazing too.......
does the S1R have large, medium, and small raw files?
No, RAW in only full res :(
It's bizarre the camera supports 6 aspect ratios but RAW files are only available as 3:2 Large.
JPG files are available in all 6 aspect ratios with 3:2, 4:3, 16:9 and 1:1 in Small, Medium and Large sizes and 65:24 and 2:1 only in the Large size.
Hopefully this is something Panasonic can address in a firmware update. Landscape photographers especially like to shoot in RAW with the ability to choose the aspect ratio in camera.
Where to buy?
Po profilu vidim da ste iz Dalmacije, u HR ih ima Kodak centar: www.anigota.hr/?orderby=relevance&paged=1&s=panasonic+lumix+s&post_type=product
Navratite u Prašku 2 u Zagrebu ako vam bude usput, ja radim tamo :)
47,3 megapixel non 45...
"L Mount Alliance"
This camera has 47.3 Mgpx not 45 unless in Russia is 45:)
Putin takes away 2MP of every new camera.
