Happy new year, love the moose sweater 💕 you did such a great job.
I made two things I really love. A simple basic Ragland jumper that fits the way I want an award or not this past winter. I also made a really basic huge wrap, nothing special but I have one so many times it’s perfect to throw on and throw off. Sometimes it’s nice to have an idea in your head and just work out the numbers and make some thing all by yourself.
    Happy knitting, Karen 🥰
Good luck with the intermittent fasting. I do it somewhere between six and nine hours a day is my eating window, but I never stress about it, if I want to eat I’ll eat but I try not to eat 3 hours before bed.
Every year I try and make a small incremental lifestyle changes that I will keep up, life is too short to give myself a hard time. Still eating a bit too much sugar, but that’s another problem for another day, more likely another year 🤭😂🤣 balance!!!
I redid the Myers Briggs test as I am starting to feel like my old self again after so many years of too much stress. I feel like I am starting to come out the other side of burnout and I’m starting to recognise myself again. I ended up being an INFJ- A so that’s been fun to learn about. No wonder I feel like I don’t fit in 🤭😂

This year is the first year I've really started to go off pattern and make up my own things! I designed a knit + crochet bonnet for my baby and loved how it turned out so much I made 3 more this year for other babies born in our church. I also designed a little knit pinafore dress for my daughter and loved that also! I feel more free making my own patterns for baby items than I do for adult items because they're so much smaller (less time investment if something goes wrong and has to be redone) and also because fit is much simpler and they will still look cute even if it's not 'flattering.' I have the designing bug now, and am definitely planning to make more things this coming year! I will definitely check out Knitting Without Tears to see about designing adult garments!

Your Moose sweater is so beautiful! Your podcast was the perfect accompaniment for my Christmas Eve last minute crochet peppermint pillow for my twin sister. There have been Christmas Eves in the past when I was finishing a gift in the car or tying tassels onto a scarf in my parents’ bedroom before the big gift exchange. My parents have four adult children and ten grandchildren so Christmas Eve is their favorite night of the year. I can’t make something for everyone but at least one person usually receives a handmade gift from me each year. I also made a crochet basket with lid for my niece. If I have time, I’m going to try and make a small crochet frog for my nephew because he has to work at an urgent care center tonight and I’ll give it to my sister to give to him when she sees him at 11pm Mass tonight. I’ve had to work a few Christmases in the past and it’s not fun but gave me a greater appreciation for all the service workers, healthcare workers, police, firefighters, our military, and all the other guardian angels among us. ❤️
