The entrance of pyramids were built so that you bowed yourself in reverence while entering. Remember those are graveyards. Its the same for the pyramids in the western hemisphere. Made to bow your head in respect of the space you are entering.
What happened to the hieroglyphs and the paintings??? .... is that area off limits because they sure know how to dig up our ancestors and uncover them without any restrictions.
They didn’t allow us in the pyramids of Giza when I went. We did get to enter a small tomb. Seeing the only room that you were able to get into, I’m not so upset about it. Regardless, it is such an amazing experience.
I feel like you walked for many of us because I’ve always wanted to go to Egypt but have never traveled. When I was a little girl, one of the very first things I drew was the Eye of Ra. Not from something I saw on television or that I saw in some book. My Mimosa (Mother) kept it for years because it amazed her a toddler would draw something they’ve never seen so specifically. One day, I will go to Egypt, a place that I have loved from afar & have been fascinated about since almost the beginning of my existence but until then, I’ll watch videos like this & be proud that you got to go & honored that you shared this experience with us. I went there back in 2011, we weren’t allowed to take any footage inside the pyramids though! Took a cruise on the river Nile, had lunch with Beduins in the desert, visited museums, the papyrus factory in Cairo. Amazing experience, definitely recommend!

What an amazing visit for the Fredericks!!!! I don’t think I would’ve been able to walk that quickly- taking in the sights and thinking of all the history, honoring those that built and came before me 😔. Beautiful!
Yes! I went in September 2011, did quite a bit of sightseeing, the locals were very kind to me. Definitely an incredible experience. My brother finally got to go in November 2019 just before the covid madness began. Highly recommend, I would love to go again
I feel that. They did this to honor their dead and leaders and and it was sacred but we are looking at it for sightseeing. I see both sides of the story

I understand. I remember going to the Smithsonian a couple years ago and I was so excited because they had mummies from Egypt there for a special display. I was super excited and took pictures and all that. But then I got home a few days later and went through my pics and it hit me like wow. This was a real person and they laid their body to rest but it's being paraded around the world and put on display totally against their wishes. Needless to say I deleted all the pictures.
That's for healthy people. Lol. Not for disabled weaklings like me. Thanks for sharing so u can experience it vicariously through your videos. I really appreciate that. God bless you guys.
