Notice in the manga that the Uchiha who could not accept reality became filled with hate (Madara, Obito, Indra, etc.), and the ones that did accept reality were not (Kagami, Shisui, Itachi, etc.) Obito never actually loved Rin. He was obsessed with being with her. There is a big difference. Loving someone does not mean obsessing and selfishly clinging to someone, especially when that person does not reciprocate. Obito knew that she liked Kakashi. I don't really think Rin cared too much for Obito, or she would have been honest with him about not returning his feelings when she knew he had a crush on her.

But the best stories and best written villains, are just misguided heroes whose actions look villainous. But in reality are trying to accomplish something great. Obito's journey started with Rin being the catalyst. His mind warped and he took on a delusional world view. Thinking Rin was an imposter for dying as was Kakashi for not protecting her. But the war and his ideals sprang from seeing the unfairness of life. He never intended to be with Rin in a dream. The caster of the infinite Tsukiyomi doesn't get the dream treatment. He still became the So6P's in order to *try* and cast the genjutsu. He just wanted everyone to finally be free from the life that is unfair. His motivates...? Noble. His actions...? deplorable. His character? One of the best.

I understand what it feels to lose someone you LOVED, Obito! You are not alone! When i was 6 - 7 years old i had a crush on this girl i liked we were like neighbors. I didn't tell her how i really feel but in my heart says "Tell her!" but i can't not yet so i waited. When i was 10 my Uncle said "We're going to the mall." next thing i know i'm leaving my hometown. I went to Sweden (Madara saved Obito) When i was 17 years old I knew she was with somebody (Obito came rushing in just to saved Rin & Kakashi). Then i saw her with someone now In my mind she's GONE because I will never see her again (Obito saw Rin dead) Even to this day it still HAUNTS me! bcz every girl i see i couldn't talked to her because i know she's the only one for me but it's too late! This is why Obito will always be my hero no matter what. And I have a scar on my right neck (Obito has a scar on his right face) I broke my right arm my father told me the doctor will cut my right arm off but he didn't (Obito's right arm is gone) You could say i'm Obito in real life.

Because it creates drama. Nothing is as popular as a hero who lost everything and trying to cope with it. Naruto lost his parents, Neji lost his, Kakashi lost both his parents and his love ones. It's there to form the character and make it strong. People relate to this and like to watch it, hoping he will become badass because of the experince.

All he needs to do is transfer each one individually and take care of them there, that's it. As for jiraya, he'd have no way of stopping him. The ONLY reason naruto and everyone was able to beat obito is because of Kakashis kamui ability. They had no way to get into his dimension to hit him without it.
