I installed the single adjust front and rear kit in my 71 chevelle .it is absolutely awesome ,and i mean everything about it from the purchase to the simple install . Thank you alden american
@@207shenanigans so I have a full suspension setup all around but used shocks with springs. On the road at higher speeds I’d get a floating affect that I was used to with older cars. My car sits a little lower so on the freeway I’d sometimes scrap my headers on the bumps because of how much play was in standard shocks. Well with these coilovers it’s super tight. Feels like I’m driving a new Camaro. Totally different ride.. it was an immediate improvement 🙌🏽🙌🏽
You make it look so easy to install the fronts, I’ve had my wheels off 4 times trying to dial in the ride height. How long did it actually take to install them? Thanks
How Townie, Installation typically takes 1 to 2 hours per side on the lift. Final ride height usually takes a couple of adjustments that includes removing the wheels. I have done the coil over kits many times during the development phase of the different applications. The procedure is similar for say a Camaro or a Chevelle so that helps. Having the car on the lift and the working with the trans jack also makes it easier than working on the floor. If you have any questions please reach out to our tech line (310)834-7478
If your lower control arms have the OEM style shock nuts, you can remove these with an air chisel; drill them out to 3/8" or run our coilover kit on top of the nuts. We recommend removing these nuts, drilling out the holes to 3/8" and we also manufacture a lower control arm support plate, part # ALD-39
My alden American rear shocks feel blown out no adjustment on them as far as knob on them do they need a shock setup to help dampen ?? 95 c1500 lowered 6 8 inch 4 link rear
Hi @MacDaddy - Let us know if you're running single or double adjustable rear shocks? If your adjusters are stuck or not working you may want to send in your shocks for an inspection/warranty service. Please give our team a call 310-834-7478 or see our service form here: aldanamerican.com/aldan-shock-service/
You have to take into consideration that drop spindles by themselves lower the car 2". That means the coilover shock has to be adjusted for a stock ride height in order to achieve a 2" drop. The coilovers are designed for an adjustment range of stock ride height to 2" of drop. If you use the 2" drop spindles you have the chance of the car being excessively low. If you need help determining the right combination give our tech team a call (310)834-7478 or email us sales@aldanamerican.com

Tell Manny nice Chevelle....
My control arms have shock mount nuts welded in where in the video it showed using bolts all the way through. Do I need to grind off the nuts?

Have you added 2” drop spindles with these coil overs or would it be to low
