- Luke Smith was a PhD student in linguistics before he grew his UA-cam channel to 168,000 subscribers-with his unique perspectives on digital, financial, and mental sovereignty. This is the first time he's told his story at length.
I invited Luke to be the special guest at this year's mansion because I think he exemplifies the Other Life mentality. Luke has totally exited the institutional grid, he maintains a very independent perspective and lifestyle, and he publishes his ideas to a growing audience without compromising his principles. Luke only uses Free and Open Source Software, does not watch any TV or streaming services, and recently became an Orthodox Christian.
I think you'll find this talk interesting, unique, funny, and inspiring.

Absolutely agree on his take on Evangelical Christianity’s core problem. It became the main flavor of Christianity in America’s cultural mind and an immediate whipping boy by the Boomers/Gen X’ers desperate search to find ways to hate their parents. It turned Christ into a source of cringe than a source of comfort and refuge. This also is part of the reason why normies think that art is a person “expressing themelves” instead of expressing reference and worship for the source of our creative abilities.
I do agree that the Orthodox Church has retained its position that Luke holds, but I think that position is more plausible in the West because we’re more exposed to the failures of Protestantism/Catholicism than Orthodoxy.
Is Luke into Christianity because he thinks it is the best moral and way of life but he doesn´t really believe Christian metaphysis? I think it is the case, but he does not want to say it explicitly because of obvious reasons. It is contradictory that he excellently deconstructs the metaphysics of the enlightenment but he does not do the same with Christianity. I believe that he is aware of all categories are produced by self-bias (he himself mentions at some point that the source of knowledge is phenomenology), but, in practice, be a Christian is the best way to be in the world (this is also my position).
I am a Christian, not an atheist pretending to be "into Christianity" for empty self-help reasons.

You emanate embarrassment, for OP he once was asked on a live stream that if he was a cristian, then he must believe that god made people and not the evolutionary process. This tard said "Its just something I have to believe. I dont know, I dont know". He wants to believe that he is internally consistent for the purpose of saying he is a real christian, but metaphysics he is most certainly is huffing copium. Lol
