Thank you Peter for taking the trouble to make these videos, it can not be easy with all you have going on , even for someone as laid back and calm as you
Wonderful video! Brought back many memories of that place. When you went onto the track for the first time you were passed by a yellow Ducati with a rider having a long pony-tail coming from under HER helmet. She is !6 years old - finished 12th! You may have to pick up your game in the near future. Watched it live and thought Coop had a shot at the win. Thanks again for the Vlog.
Not being a two-wheeled rider it simply boggles the mind just how much confidence would be required to be getting up to speed that quickly in traffic on your first laps at Daytona. Amazing content and impossible not to be a huge fan of your dedication to tackling the most challenging circuits in the world 👍
I couldn't walk up it, almost went on all 4s. Yes Triumph Daytona is fab, been buying from them through many owners, they always have great people. We can ride 300++ days, hurricanes and storms slow us down but we get at it. I hear the speedway from my front porch. Hoping Triumph will enter the 200 in 25.
Incredible footage and sound. Just awesome. Engine sounded like Senna’s Honda. Kawasaki is an amazing bike… Fair play for taking time out to vlog while learning track. It’s massive …
That banking is proper steep. I find hard to believe they were your first laps at Daytona. That helmet camera was the best rider perspective camera I have ever seen. Brilliant video. A natural presenter.
Great podcast. Great team. Hicky, pretty modest with his comments...this was a great first outing at Daytona. Awesome dude, and Coops as well. Better luck next year. ...that banking is fookin steep!
Awesome Peter, the view from your helmet down the track at Daytona was incredible. Will be cheering you on from the comfort of my favourite armchair in 2025.
Interesting vid Pete, I need to make the effort to come over to your place, would be great to say hi if I can catch you there. Met you a couple of years ago when I won a weekend at Oulton when you were still with the Smith team, my wife and I got a couple of pics with you but I was a bit star struck and didn't say much. I did a bit of racing at club level some years back but after a hard off at Olivers Mount the wife put her foot down, hopefully catch up with you some day, keep up the good work Sir.
Thank you for the behind the scenes video. I would love to set up a podcast and some video with you for 2025. We are also Suomy helmet teammates... ! !
We love seeing you here in the states. It will be awesome if you can make it back in 25. If possible you need to watch the supercross race the Saturday before the 200.
Well that was an awesome first visit so better luck next year. Really enjoy these vlogs Pete, thanks for doing them and especially good to have something new to watch at this time of year when we're being force-fed the delights of xmas - oh joy. Merry Xmas and good luck for 2025 in all your racing.
How was your neck after the race mate? Funny, you could always notice the racers at the Ocean Deck post-race night, call someone's name and they always pivoted to the left to respond. Raced there twice a year for five years, still remember the first time heading up the banking and thinking this is not possible. The rider's meeting was always cool, faces from all over the globe to experience this one of a kind place. Cheers!
After watching that footage, I found that you were braking way too hard on the second chicane-slow-section, you should've let the bike run through it without braking, just back up on the throttle. Those slow sections are really weird the way that they put them in after opening the bike up for so long but you get used to it, it's just understanding when they're coming and which sections you brake hard and which sections that you let it run through without braking, you'll get it although, how much research had you spent on it? I find that that app game Real Racing 3 is great for it, top tip, a kid's game! 😄 and I told that to my old man, who races 250cc superkarts and still, to this day, he's still not picked it up and practiced on any of the circuits...'kid's games, it's not a toy!' he used to say, will they ever learn?🤦♂😄 I always love the footage you put out and the bike sounds lovely, but, and I've never understood why companies do it but, why the 765cc? Why the 636 with the Kawai? Why the 699, or is it 698cc, with the Yammies? Are they really performing to their maximum constraints? Anyway, roll on, keep up the good work and all the best for the New Year ;) 👏👍
Sad to see that the American public have zero interest in the 200 anymore. Not having superbikes must have made a difference. Good luck in 2025, Danny Webb will win it, you see.
Triples, always the sweetest sound!

Great content Pete. What camera do you use in the helmet?
Thanks! The camera is an Insta360 GO3 - we’re not just upgrading to the Insta360 GO3 S 😜
Even the best laid plans will go out of the window.
Is the banking the same angle as the old brooklands circuit?

Danny is also my bet for big wins in 2025, a class rider.
