This is terrifying. No one wants to talk about what happens when the climate becomes so unstable we can't grow enough food to feed ourselves, but what's happening to these birds is a warning sign no one is taking seriously enough.
they didn't mention any other birds affected. if it was a famine or lack of fish, why aren't other birds coming into care? why only the pelicans? if it was climate change, wouldn't other birds be affected as well?
could it have something to do with that aurora borealis a few weeks ago? I heard magnetic interference can affect birds, even disorient them,. maybe pelicans have become more sensitive to disruptions in earths magnetic fields and it s affecting their ability to hunt? that would explain the disorientation.
I don't believe they don't know what is causing this, they just won't tell us.

Teach them to hunt Canada geese, or seals
did they get a virus that starts it all then they end up in grave need of care? Maybe something like bird flue
