I need the 2nd part of this video when Conan starts comparing the struggle Taylor went through with her mom's death with him still flying comercial hahaha that's gold
thats not funny part, more like nightmare
The best part of that bit.
Lol absolutely, i had stop wat I was doing wen he started going off on that
Yes!
"My mom left the Earth, and you had a tough night at the Waldorf with an old man"
I love that they kept the coffee adjustment in. One of Conan’s strengths is that he can make blunders and hiccups like this into a good bit.
So true! Some of his best moments are guests cancelling or technical difficulties or things going wrong.
"iced coffee is for closers!"
I love that they both embrace dark humor and keep digging further into the joke, seeing who can be bleakest.
race to the dark side
What makes it even funnier is that Conan called this out in an earlier podcast about having icy drinks on the show and interrupting a traumatic moment HAHA
Yes! I swear to god that's what i expected to happen, Conan remembering that "guest tells story about dead mum while you clank and swish away" bit and calling poor Taylor out in the middle of her pouring her heart out... Somehow somebody else doing it non-verbally is even funnier and crueler. What a great moment either way, such a fine line they all threaded there. Perfect.
Every week I kept waiting to see who was it they were talking about. It was worth the wait.
Ya it was Slash too lol
@@jhgjdf4234 ya called out slash for ice lol
It was so funny how it's built up to this. They talked about it "on air" and then obviously they had a production meeting and I guess told the crew to actually take care of it from now on I think? We'll have to see where this goes!
Holy cow, she articulated so well what its like to live with the los of a parent/primary caregiver at a young age. I lost my mom at 12. Its true every milestone is bittersweet. Kind of a constant state of adjusting to cope around that grief
So it's like a wound that never heals at all? That sucks.
@@mrdaym The wound or the notion of the wound? I mean It can really suck either way. And I mean that literally.
This segment just kept getting funnier and funnier, I thought Sona might pass out. XD It would be fun to see the room like in that last wide shot while Taylor and Conan continued to riff off each other.
you guys are way too easily pleased, i barely laughed twice
@@italianmiltyfriedman6264 Wow! Then you must have a superior sense of comedy than everyone else, congrats!
YESSS more wide shots with bley and the team!!!!
@@italianmiltyfriedman6264 you realize that's your loss right?
im just sad theyre not uploading full episodes with video. Or am I missing something? There really is no reason why spotify podcasts would have no video.
I think one of the greatest compliments in this is when they are riffing back and forth, the Taylor makes her joke about Quarterbacks and callbacks, Conan stops the improv momentarily to compliment her on that joke
I love Taylor so much. Her ability to make anything humorous in the moment, the way she is totally comfortable just bouncing back and forth with Connan who is a comedy legend and someone she admits to looking up to all at 26. She is going to go really far.
She is a skilled improviser. She can discuss with an audience member in the middle of a show and turn it into a good bit.
This was an amazing moment with the seamless transition from real stuff to hilarity in a split second. It's heart warming when we can have a genuine laugh to cope and even help overcome sad events.
i realy like how they riff off eachother, what an unexpected dynamic duo
My dad died when I was a kid and I relate to what Taylor said a lot, constantly looking for approval from this person that doesn't exist anymore, and when I do succeed it's bitter sweet because my dad will never be there to see it. Love hearing that I'm not the only one that feels that lol, also love Taylor and her humour 👍
Same.
Yes, you are not alone.
It's a way to feel an interaction with them, for lack of a better word. You've done something they would have reacted to, the non-reaction somehow feels like something, not nothing
I never had my dad's approval in life, I'm certainly not getting it now that he's gone.
also a childhood survivor. Fully agree w/Tomlinson. I feel the "if only he were here to see" and also the "maybe i wouldn't be doing this".. hard to overestimate the impact of that. it changed everyting about me. became one of the bedrocks of my identity. Iliterally don't know who I'd be otherwise.
Look at a tree whose trunk was broken off at a weird angle 2 feet above the ground, and it survived and grew back. come back 30 years later and try to imagine how it would look if that hadn't happened...
The iced tea joke was top notch and came faster than light. Conan things.
Iced Coffee is for Winners
is an amazing title for a Taylor stand up special.
The iced coffee bit was gold! Everyone was losing it and Conan and Taylor were reveling in the chaos!
When I heard it on the podcast I thought they had moved the glass just slightly out of the way so she would avoid knocking it over and she was just playing it up for the laughs, but Adam really placed it far enough that it’s like he took Conan’s “I can’t control the guest” statement as a personal challenge.
This episode was super enjoyable. Really enjoy her humor and their chemistry.
I love how Sona is just sitting back watching the show and laughing her ass off. And Taylor is so cool! The vibe here is on fire lol.
Taylor has such an iconic and recognizable voice that blends well with her comedy.
Her voice reminds of Elizabeth Holmes’ fake voice.
Perfect for deadpan delivery!
Love these three, Sona's laugh is more infectious that ever.
Taylor and Conan resonate so well!
Seriously, I think she could take over Conan in the future. They have such a similar sense of humour.
@@aegresen in some sense, her getting to be a late nigh host now after Colbert is pretty much a prophecy come true, she has the right combination of charisma, quick wit, and incredible knack at reading people emotionally, which will ensure she maintains that chemistry with any guest that's thrown at her. I really hope she succeeds! Not many do, but I cannot think of a single reason why she cannot become the next Conan.
It's a shame they left the we suffered equally part.
"I always think: what is the worst possible thing I can say?" - Conan O'brien.
Just ending up being a drama teacher is ok, too… Signed, Drama Teacher
she most definitely didn't say or even imply that it wasn't. all she was stating was *different* career path.
Oh, so dramatic. Use that emotion to fill the scene!
apparently good enough for Taylor-with-a-mom
She’s such a sweetheart!
Two of my favourite comedians ever. You guys gotta write something.
"You're trying to impress someone that does not exist anymore." That hit me hard...
How is Taylor so funny every time I watch her? And to have Conan and Taylor in a video together is a guaranteed good time!!
Humour is a beautiful way to give your suffering value.
Legend says they are still bantering about iced coffee being taken away 😆
coffee is FOR CLOSERS😂💀
OMG you guys posted it!.. i wish there was a way to watch the whole thing
Such a fan of the show and crazy happy for Taylor's success. Big talent!
Man, they really struggle with iced drinks on this show huh
She is SO FUNNY! Her massive success makes me so happy. Go get ‘em Taylor!
Taylor's Mom: "You're not funny enough, so I'm going to die."
Conan: "You're not funny enough, so no iced coffee for you."
More of this please. More Coco & Taylor!
My mom passed away in 1992, when I was seven, and it definitely shaped my life. I grew up afraid anything could kill me. I quit my swimming class, I stopped going outside, and to this day, I have still never tried smoking, drinking, or any drugs whatsoever. I'm super shy around all manner of people, and it's very difficult to get me to try anything new. I also am afraid to buy a pet, because I dread the inevitable farewell.
The pet part is real. Don't do it, it sucks when they die. You should get help for the rest of it though. Life is too short to worry about that stuff. Nothing wrong with getting help. Good luck.
Someone needs to take your iced coffee away.
@@Sy-yw5nl Not sure if i should smack you or applaud you
Oh someone was going to say it. You were probably thinking it.
@@Sy-yw5nl
I don't drink coffee either. :/
Conan and Taylor compliment each other, great conversation.
So underrated....The views don't justify how good this clip is.
More Taylor content please! She’s hilarious
Sona is the best laugh track
i watched two previous videos and wondered why she wouldnt even take a sip and then i saw the thumbnail for this video
The first minute of this could literally be about gaming nerds reflecting on jocks/women. It's amazing that the only thing that separates it, is the maturity around it.
The riffing is gold
Taylor is very grounded and funny. It's evident why Stephen Colbert picked her for the new show.
Taylor's first Netflix special was soo good
I loved it. The second one is even better, in my opinion. She's quite a talented comedian.
and a third one is coming very soon!
I love Taylor! And Conan obvs! But I think it’s important that comedians talk about mental health. Because as an audience member you sometimes wonder how are comedians so happy? I wish I could be as happy as them. And then you realize that comedians are actually results of depression. So now when I get depressed I watch an open mic to cheer me up for the jokes. And now I started going on stage myself because making jokes is the only thing that keeps me from crying. RIP Richard Jeni. The signs were there.
Conan is such a professional. He stayed with hushed tones with the iced coffee even though he could have gone full Glen Garry Glen Ross 📢 .

Don't worry, it doesn't fix the trauma. That part of me will always be broken. But it helps keep the rest of me intact.
This podast ep's the first I've heard of Taylor and now I'm becoming a fan. Her improv's impressive!
Conan and Taylor's humor match so PERFECTLY. Please have her on more like Nikki

Would honestly love to see Taylor and Conan do something permanent together, maybe another podcast 😅 she is such a natural with Conan, even when talking about very deep, personal issues.
She's a natural comedian. She choose a joke EVERY time. That endears people to Conan. He's said he's the same. He seeks out those kind of people. She is amazing and deserves great success.
Ray Romano said that if his father had ever given him a hug he might have been an accountant or something.
Loss is heavy. Either it pulls you down like a stone sinking in water, or you use it propel you forward like a spaceship slingshoting around a planet.
often kind of both, on alternate weeks..
often kind of both, on alternate weeks..
All the best for her. A winner.
When it comes to Conan, there will always a funny story about iced drink 🤣
The universal truth of show business: Coffee's for closers!
The concept of a publically traded podcast is just funny on its own.
This was so funny on the episode
This is such a great combo, I love them both
There is over 400,000 views, I think I watched this over 1000 views. It never gets old, how both of them can improvise.
Iced coffee punishment 😂
Winners count laughs 😂😂😂
i wish they posted the full video episodes
I'm so glad they made this part into a clip cuz after listening to the podcast, I immediately came to check if I could watch the hilarity
Hahahhaah the ending had me in tears lmfao
More proof that Conan is mounting an offensive into the AMSR market.
Give us full video!!!!!

Love this stuff, wish you guys could pump up the audio maybe? Other vids are sooooo much louder lmao, I forget and the ads scare me man lol.
I love these you guys!!! Sidenote... I woulda confiscated the coffee too. Just sayin". You & Taylor are great together
Conan says he hates comedians who are former athletes, but Joel McHale is a very public good friend of his.
He's more of a comedic actor than a comedian.
Most of my friends who had a really difficult childhood did not necessarily become more successful, but they do handle life WAY better than people like me who have had it good.
I've avoided conflict to an insane degree which has prevented me from doing so many things with my life. It's absolutely true that it's our disappointments, our tragedies, and our failings that shape us. Nobody becomes a better person by winning.
Anybody else from subcontinent here. I feel like conan is the most accepting person from Hollywood.
Omg the exchange is amazing
..
I was hoping to see this one 😂
Disappointed they missed the “ICED COFFEE IS FOR CLOSERS!” opportunity.
Marching Band Side Effect should be the title of her next special.
It's also a fantastic band name.
@@christopherweise438 for a marching band

This is another great episode of Conan needs a friend with Taylor Tomlinson 👏
Publicly traded podcast killed me😂😂
Damnit I was eating and almost choked 🤣
That marching band joke.. so under appreciated
God they're both the greatest lmao
The iced coffee, that borders on brutal.😁
if any needs a great example of how “tragedy + time = comedy” works i’ll just show them this amazing clip
My mom didn’t die that early, but I can totally identify with the “oh, Mom won’t see this” realization. Sigh. Think I’d be over this by now.
Never ends, just eases. Somewhat. Believe that she'd want you to be happy.
This is COMEDY. GOLD.
If there is any consolation for Taylor anything good that ever happened to me that I shared with my mother she did her best to ruin! Including every important event in my life!
Mine lied to the police to get me out of MY house. That was December 2022. I haven't been able to come back and get ALL of the stuff I gathered in 41 years since. All of my clothes, my writings, my computers, my food on the icebox, the icebox, my bed - everything! Motherhood is overrated. Some mothers are monsters.
She keeps going and going and going i love her
So freaking good!
I have met more with dunning kruger effect than impostor syndrome - is that more indicative of the company i’m with??? 😅
"We're ice tea people here, Taylor. You're off brand with that iced coffee. Iced coffee doesn't do ad revenue with us, so you need to get with the program or we will take away your liquids and you will be dehydrated. Do you want that, Taylor? Cuz here at Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend we can break you. We will torture you with the promise and denial of fluffy pillows for your back support."
It never fails that execs still miss the fact that the best comedy comes from personal trauma and tragedy, and the audience laughs because we can relate to that! If life was a bed of roses, we wouldn't need comedy. So right now, we need comedy more than ever, lol!
It was right there. I'm surprised neither of them went for it, given how dark both of their humor can get.
"Coffee is for people who still have moms."
Taylor is a gem and i would watch anything these 2 did together!
That bit they just slipped into with ease!!
They painted a picture!
Love this podcast is this on Spotify??
Yes
you could.... i dunno, look on spotify?..
She’s great. I don’t know if she was always funny as a kid, but she seems naturally funny here. I hope she does the podcast again.
