Yes, and chances are it will work itself out... but. This SHOULD HAVE been disclosed by the breeder before taking the puppy home. Was this not disclosed? If it was, just wait and see. If it was not... well, now things get tricky. Depending on your relationship with the breeder and the puppy as well... you could ask to take the puppy back, or for an exchange for another puppy, or to have the breeder pay for the surgery IF it doesn't drop. Or just take the hit and pay for it out of pocket... IF it doesn't drop. Oh... and if anyone tells you that this is "normal", it is not! No this is not normal, nor common (with any mammal, including humans)... but it does happen, and though most cases resolve themselves, it CAN be a sign of possible genetic issues, or health issues of the mother dog. Either way, please be a responsible owner and NOT breed this pup!.. just in case.
No problem. Just wait. It is not live threatening. ❤️❤️❤️ Why did these people so overreact? It is not necessary. It is not a fault of the breeders. I have dogs since 40 years. And I think it is very mean to confuse a dog owner with its new puppy because of overreaction and NO knowledge. All the best from Germany to your family
All I can say it is SO incredibly heartwarming to see all of you in such a happy place. The adorable interaction between Olivia and Rocco is completely priceless. Thank you for sharing!!
"Help daddy" she says, sooo cute! Something different... you have a toddler, a baby and dogs... and white carpets and white sofas! Incredible. Everything is neat and nice. Wow! 👍🏼
I love your big heart and hope it does resolve without expensive surgery. Watching him and Olivia play is so cute. Looking forward to watching him grow up.
Rocco will no doubt drop the other one where it belongs by the time he's 6 months. Keep an eye on it and if he doesn't on his own he might need some professional help. But my dad gave me my first Rottie in 1976 and Rotties is all I've ever had and 3 of my puppies have had tucked testicles and they all dropped on their own. Good luck with him. He's beautiful and appears to have a very passive temperament.
Rocco is such a beautiful boy and I can see he will be a great friend and protector of you and your family….I had a puppy with that problem and he lived to be 9 years old with no problem because of it…the vet told us it might shorten his life and to have him “fixed” but we didn’t….he sired two litters of healthy pups as well and lived to be 9 years old
Our GSD, Bruno, had a retained testicle and had it removed when he was neutered at age 1. It was very small and was up in his abdomen and the vet had to fish for it. He’s turning 9 in February and is doing great!
Rocco is just such a gentle man. Olivia is so adorable playing with him. I am sure Rocco's other Testicle will descend ,he is still young. timeline is around 2 months He still has some time . If not by 6 months then that is a different story . Very Precious pup!
I have only had one Rotty and she was a female. However, if the testicle does not descend on it's own, the vet can fix that with a simple procedure. Babies and puppies, what a combination! Endless entertainment!
That is nothing to worry about in this age. When he is 9 - 12month old just see if they are where they belong. In the "badest" case they must be removed. Because when one stay in his body it would be overheated and can cause to a bad behavior. So, don't worry! Enough time and nothing dramatic. So much male puppies had it. Olivia and Rocco are so sweet together ❤️❤️❤️ enjoy your puppy and don't worry so much All the best for you all from Rotti Aslan from Germany!
I bet that Rottee is thinking......leave my blinkin family crown jewels alone 🤣🤣🤣 Lovely to see him play tug of war with the little one. He will mess about doing that with the kid for years. That child will have a very good ally there Great stuff all round
I have encountered this when I was breeding them. If the testicle doesn't drop will need to be removed it will increase his chances for cancer. If you are not going to breed him then there is no need to return him or exchange him for a different pup. MORE ROCCO, please!
We had the exact same problem the vet could only feel one testicle on our rottie this was at 9 weeks old. Our boy is now 12 weeks we are planning on going back to the vets in the next couple of weeks to find out if there is any change.
Never has a dog with this problem, sorry Rocco is too cute!! OMG lol. My boy just turned 8 a week ago. I remember the day we brought him home vividly. I held him in the car while my husband drove, loved up on my boy, he puked on me and the seatbelt... he was a serious puppy though. Total goofball now.
Yooo great videos man, i'd like to know if it is ok to play pull with a 10 week old rottie, i'd really apreciatte an asnwer, and some information and things that rotts do to communicate. Love your videos!, i've learning a lot.
Omg he’s so tiny I was almost like “why is he so small” then I remembered mine was less than 10lbs at that age😭 He’s so freakin cute I just wanna squish him
Nevermind. I just quickly went to look. I'm so sorry. Bruno will be missed. He reminded me so much of my cousins rottie. Loved his character and his goofiness. 💔. Joy comes in the morning! Looks like Rocco is just the right fit. The future looks bright! 🌤
Pup like hay lets play i like the lady and look dad nice lady has a new toy WHAT HAY WHA OUCH DAD WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT NASTY WOMAN AND THE SHARP LONG THING SHE STUCK IN ME !
Has anyone had this issue before? The vet mentioned 70% chance it will work itself out.
Where did u get the pup?
Yes, and chances are it will work itself out... but.

It's such an amazing 'fact' that Rottweiler puppies can make a human life so beautiful.
And to see him getting bigger and bigger must be fun.

Watching these 2 play tug of war is exactly what I needed this morning! 🥰
It's great isn't it. Those 2 tinkers make each other happy. If I had children again; I would bring them up with a Rottee

Were you able to find out why Bruno died? Your puppy is darling.
I think he either had twisted gut or he ate a mushroom that was growing in the yard
Never has a dog with this problem, sorry
Rocco is too cute!! OMG lol.

It should descend gradually
I have same dog. Same name. Same thing happened with Rocky. What I did was move it gently a couple of times. Then next day it dropped.
