Hey Kevin, I'm an oral historian and this is going to be great for my work. One problem tho'. My interviews can be up to an hour so I rarely have time to edit and correct the transcription in one session. How can I save the editing sidebar that opens and resume my corrections later without saving the whole file? After I save the file I cannot get the sidebar to open again.
I had this same question! I have my documents on auto save so I believe it was saved (not sure why you wouldn't want to save your work even if incomplete) but I was able to bring up the editing sidebar after closing the file by clicking "Dictate" --> "Transcribe" and it simply showed up just as before!
Extremely helpful, well done video on a very important topic for those of us who are Wordsmiths. Also, many of us who work with foreign languages (translators, linguists) have migrated a large part of our work away from Microsoft Office 365 to tools such as DeepL Translator, Google Suite, etc. However, MS Word has some very powerful language tools, that deserve to be highlighted and explained properly. Please consider a mini-series of four or five video on Word's translation, transcribing, spell checking, and other foreign language features built into Office 365. Most people are not even aware of what is already built into this suite. Thank you for your video on Transcribing in MS Word. You know how to explain things logically with hands on examples. The production quality of your videos, i.e. light, sound, audio, pronunciation, etc. is extremely well done. Keep up the good work.

Kevin, I am a big fan of your videos. This Audio to Text gem is so good. I have been thinking of "documenting" one of the video into text. And this is precisely what I was looking for. I have a problem though. The voice typing stops after every 10 minutes. The video that I am converting to text is about 30 minutes. Do you know why would it stop at 10 minutes? I am making sure that it does not go to sleep or hybernate mode, so, that does not seem to be issue. Please help, because it can be frustrating to have 10 min limit. Thanks again.
This is extremely helpful. I'm in an organizational behavior course and have to transcribe an interview. This saved me so much time. Students, like this comment if you're here and in grad school lol. hahaha, at the Kevin with a deeper voice.
Hi Kevin! I just went through Microsoft Forms to create a survey and wanted to collect the recipients' email addresses. But there isn't any option to automatically collect and verify the email address in Microsoft Forms. Initially, I used Google Forms which has this feature. If you could tell how to do this in MS Forms, then it would be helpful.🖥💻
If I’m not mistaken, there’s an option to require people completing your Microsoft Forms survey to sign in with a Microsoft account to access it, this data can then be captured without actually having to ask them to fill in their name of email address. I’ve done this for forms I’ve asked my students to complete, records their name for sure, and I believe I was also able to see their email address. Could have been because they are within the same organization, if people responding are from outside your organization, results could vary.
@@wafkt But there is one problem with me. As I only have to survey on mass scale and not everyone would have a Microsoft account. So this will only create confusion.
