  • Here's a real quick look at Makita's XGT 40v 10 1/4" cordless rear handle circular saw (GSR02). This thing will cleanly cut through 4x material in one pass. This is one hefty and solid saw!

Is is track compatible? How much do 10 1/4 inch blades cost? Can you use 10" miter saw blades instead?

It is not track compatible. Blades vary depending on how many teeth you want for how fine of a cut you're making. Home Depot sells a Milwaukee-brand 28-tooth framing blade for $29.97, and a Milwaukee-brand 40-tooth fine finish blade for $39.97. I absolutely would NOT try to use a 10" miter saw blade instead of a blade designed for the saw, that is just asking for all kinds of trouble!

@@ToolsWithAdrius There's no reason a 10" blade would cause any trouble. They should have the same 5/8" arbor. The only way you'd run into trouble is using a blade that's too large (e.g.: an angle grinder designed for a 5" blade has a higher rpm than a 7", so a 7" blade would have a greater blade edge speed than is safe).
