Fantastic array of shots Sean. Especially the angles that you got of the first drop and the first bank. I am sure that it ranks high with some of the other hybrids that you have ridden. Thanks Sean~
It's the original RMC hybrid. While not nearly as intense as some of the others, in my opinion, it's a historical ride that changed the industry. Good job on one of your latest videos where you showed the POV of Switchback! When I watch UA-cam on my TV, the only way I can comment is via phone, which is something I don't do at all. Lol. I only comment when I am on my computer.
I remember seeing a POV of this for the first time in 2011 and being amazed. At the time, the big 2 were Intamin and B&M, and no one else came even close. It was even more of a shock when i realized it made the Golden Ticket Awards Top 10 that year.
I was completely shocked at my first rides on this coaster. There wasn't anything like it on the planet. While RMC coasters have gotten more intense with better pacing, this one was the one that changed the industry.
NTG’s train is so appealing to me. I love the old car aesthetic. The horn as it leaves is also a nice touch. Was the chicken sound at 1:18 part of a sort of “chicken out” exit for people who are too scared to get on? If so that’s shameful as hell and I love it.
Beautiful footage! MiniDV? miss those camcorders(if it is one lol) they have a very distinct look high def but still a slight analog charm due to the sensor and tape I guess.
What was your initial reaction when you heard this unknown company was going to revamp the Texas Giant into the new one? I imagined you were confused at first.
I believe the older version was faster during the "magic carpet finale" but the new version has more airtime in my opinion. I loved the original until about a year before it closed. It was clear the park couldn't maintain it.

Man, seeing everything look so shiny makes it look like it REALLY needs a repaint
So huge and dominant they call it giant for a reason great footage man❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Great Footage!

If only the track looked like that now! 😂
It almost looks pink at this point!

Yep, the chicken sound is part of a chicken pen that non-rides sit in while they are waiting for riders to return. Its a funny idea.
I was 8 at the time when this ride opened.
Great vid, dood!
Thanks, Ted!
5:47 when the Texas Giant and the Titan both go down at the same time!
I was glad I was in that area to get that shot when I did. I was on the tower for a long while and only saw it happen once while I was there.

Never noticed it but I get Schwarzkopf vibes when I see the decal on the side of that car
I remember thinking the same thing when I first saw those trains. It reminded me of the logo on Wildcat at Cedar Point for some reason.
What was your initial reaction when you heard this unknown company was going to revamp the Texas Giant into the new one? I imagined you were confused at first.
Very confused. No one had any idea. It was a strange thing.
The old texas giant was alot faster in the back end of the ride.. new just to slow in my opinion.
I believe the older version was faster during the "magic carpet finale" but the new version has more airtime in my opinion. I loved the original until about a year before it closed. It was clear the park couldn't maintain it.
