that 2005 team was special, and I’m thankful that The Bus got a ring to end off his career
My favorite steelers team of all time.
So special the refs paid for their SB win
@@nasirabdullahi8594 Shouldn't even have made it. They were a Nick Harper fumble away from losing the divisional round and had the Broncos not beat the Patriots. They wouldn't have made it given their track record vs the Pats. Steelers should thank the Broncos for eliminating the Patriots and the refs in the super bowl.
@@nasirabdullahi8594 what about the refs that tried to help the Colts in the divisional round that same year? Polamalu’s interception that was ruled an incomplete pass?
@@ST0NE_206 not even close! “Tried to help” means it didn’t lol and the SB was so obvious it’s not even close
It Went From Almost Missing The Playoffs To Making It To The Super Bowl All In One Season For The Steelers.
Ya that dramatic colts divisional game & Willie Parker was underrated burner
Last game in Heinz against the team whose stadium he played his last game in
GOD I CANT WAIT FOR FOOTBALL. I loved these old steelers teams growing up their defenses were always so fun to watch.. classic tough nose football
Steelers legend. So many legends of the rb position that Pittsburgh had. Also fantastic that he won a sb that year too 👏 😂
Jerome needed that more than ever, along with Cowher
@@LiamDeegeBettis has a better shot of making it to Canton with no rings than Cowher.
@@fortynights1513 True, but it would’ve been sad if Cowher didn’t win a ring in his career, that’s why I mention him as well.
@@LiamDeegeNo doubt. From a Seahawks fan I say congrats to both of them.
They had a good team in 05, and credit them for starting out as a wild card and going through three road playoff games to make it there at all.
@@fortynights1513 Seahawks had the year of a lifetime at the time as well, and I’m gonna go off and say that I agree the calls in the Super Bowl were bad against Seattle after watching all the clips of the penalties.
Awesome moment for the Bus getting 3 TDs in his final game in Pittsburgh.
Also, it's so odd now seeing two interconference teams playing each other in the final week of the season
Yup - in 2009 is when they adjusted the scheduling quirk. Since then, the last week of the season is reserved for division games so it gives teams an incentive to play their starters.
VS my 🦁s
Man that play before the half by Polamalu, such a special player
7:40 one of the most underrated plays of Polamalus career… truly an incredible, instinctual player
It’s time to ride the bus for one last time in Pittsburgh
Zero emotion on that punt return TD by the play by play announcer. Guy sounded like he was at the DMV.
The 2000s to me felt like the worst decade for play by play announcers
Bro I’m crying 😂😂😂😂
@@ajburrrit was much better than it is now. I’ll admit this guy sucks ass.
Glad this was the one and only Steelers game I've ever been to. Made a good choice!
Harrington stepping right into sacks
What a turd
I thought He was gonna be decent
But he was far from that
But he got paid so who knows
Former Oregon Heisman hype guy in New York city
I remember this year like it was yesterday and as a Chiefs fan we had needed the lions help to beat the Steelers so the chiefs can get into the playoffs those where the good days 😆
Back when chiefs had Willie roaf
@@eric3298 there you go I remember big Willie roaf he can block out the sun
I still remember the niners taking care of Denver in mile high for the berth… pops called me and we both was hyped -even knowing the beat down Peyton would soon give us a few days after that lol.. horrible times, good memories 😂
That’s weird …. 🤔
Last game Vs Lions
& actual last game @ Ford Field
in The D where he’s supposed to be from In The SUPERBowl 🦉
Hmmm weirrrrrd 🤔
A great send off to start the Steelers Super Bowl run that year.
It's really cool to win a Lombardi. One day, I hope I can see happiness again 😂😂. Hines Ward was phenomenal that year
@kevinuchiha6830 Yeah Hines Ward killed it in the Super Bowl, and yes the calls against the Seahawks were very bad I will agree, but a win is a win am I right?
“Why do they call him ‘The Bus’?”
“Because he’s afraid of flying.”
Party central
Those 2000s Lions teams were so bad, lol!
Pathetic thanks for Matt Millen. 🫣
Friggin Oregon ducks legend joey Harrington they tried to make him franchise QB & just couldn't get it to happen lol as Packers fans I remember this era well
The Steelers in 2005 a very astonishing super sweet of a team cause Jerome Bettis wanted to finish his career on his terms and by GOD he did it the right way winning his 1st ever Super Bowl Ring in his hometown of Detroit Michigan now he's in the Hall Of Fame for sure!
I Remember Jerome Betts Like It Was Yesterday NFL Throwback
I feel so old. From Pittsburgh playing little league football. A six footer....I've seen several sports careers Jordan LeBron Curry
He gets a bit underrated by some because everyone just looks at the yards per carry and calls him overrated.
Bettis gets a bit underrated by some because some people just looks at the yards per carry and call him overrated.
Steeler Nation! 🏈 🔥
Great game
The Lions special teams unit was godawful in this game.
Back when they drafted 3 wrs in a row with Charles Rodgers back when Roy Williams had hype & Mike Williams who missed 2004 because of clarett & had redemption in 2010 for one season
I love me some BUS! 🚌
The big men the bus 🏆🏈🚌🚍🏟⚒⚙️⛓💛🖤🤍💛🖤🤍💙🤍💙🤍 Detroit vs Pittsburgh game 👍 in year 2005 🦁📺📡🕰🔌
We need some new memories in Pittsburgh. We’re turning into the Cowboys..
In 2005 the Steelers were wild cards and won the Super Bowl
Hope you get to 100k soon.
Jerome was special, no doubt! Always going to stay a fan no matter the outcome because of times like these.
These announcers suck
I hate when the games are on fox
Don't disrespect Ron Pitts like that
A fullback at running back, two quarterback's both receivers and the monster Allen Faneca
Before the league had divisional rivals play against each other the second and last time ( unless they meet in the playoffs ) on the final week of the regular season
Those Lebeau/Cowher defenses were special amd fun to watch. Teams came into the game already abandoning the run they were so good against it.
Love the Bus!
A non overrated Notre Dame player for once lmao
Here We Go!
Early career Big Ben is just Mark Sanchez
I'm offended as a Steelers fan
Big Ben was better than that.
Sanchez if you break it down was mediocre outside of a few solid playoff games in 09 and 10.
@@fortynights1513 Ben was great from the start until the last 4 years or so of his career.
Don’t you dare disrespect Big Ben like that
Yellow bus last game
What the hell kind of play-by-play was that on Randle El's TD? "One man to beat. And he beat him. Eighty one yards."
It's weird in my opinion 2004 Steelers was way better than 2005 team they just happen to win a ring when they were underdogs instead lmao
Didn't he originally play for the Chargers
Rams
@@tmcmullen70 okay... I knew it was either them or the Chargers. I'm a Bears and Charger fan myself .. use to root for the Rams and Cardinals.
Then got replaced by Lawrence Phillips lmao
I almost wonder if the current Steelers teams are hoping to emulate what this team did. Decent regular season, squeezing into the playoffs, catching fire and riding that wave all the way to the Super Bowl. The Steelers haven’t been a truly top-tier team since going 13-3 in 2017, but they’re always hanging around that spot contending for a wild card
Fitting that his last home game
Was vs Detroit too.
Not even Joe buck was that bad. That was the worst play by play I’ve ever heard on a punt returned for a touchdown.
Charlie Batch comes in poised and confident. The team rallies around him. We end up 11-5, Super Bowl bound. 1st 6th seed to ever win it all. 😁
Weird how the Steelers teams who should of won like 2004 choke but without plaxico burress but win the next year by having underdog hunger just like colts should of won in 2005 then won in 2006 strange NFL history can be sometimes lol
My freshman year of High school. Dang it’s really been 19 years. Man how time flies.
That punt return in the beginning had some of the worst tackling I've ever seen.
I always thought Harrington was a super talented guy who ended up in a terrible situation. You can see the ability here against the best D in the league at the time. Would have loved to have seen guys like him, and Carr or Gabbert had a shot to play on a stable team.
Oh man that pancake tackle on Walker after his interception was lethal. 2 linemen crushed him. 😂😂
Certainly was a special and cohesive group. They played for each other.
Bettis was literally a cheat code in the red zone
I remembered this game when the Pittsburgh Steelers were playing at Heinz Field for the final time. Thank God for Ben Roethilsberger and Jerome Bettis were Super Bowl champions in their respective careers.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS AND BEAT THEM LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7:35 the greatest stat line lol. 3 rushes 8 yards TWO TDs
field looks terrible
In honor of the bus tomorrow i'm going to wear his jersey go steeler😅
He Balled Put in his last game at Heinz like he Should’ve ! #Epic
Probably Bens worst first half of his career right here
Commentator was very flat on that Randle el return
Back when they used to score points.
used to watch this teams dvd all the time as a kid
Damn Interception-Burger is in the house
Ben played absolutely horrendous.
That was a special team right there
As a Lions fan, I remember this game. Lions actually played pretty well considering how bad they werebin this season. Harrington actually played pretty decent in this game. But theSteelers were just too good and getting hot at the right time.
This commentator was awful
My second steelers game ever!
Was at that game. Great day to be a fan.
Man! I hope IMLT the NFL could bless us with something at least close to The Bus! 🙏🏽
THE BUS, MY STEELERS!!
Was Joey Harrington really a bust ? Or was it just the lions?
Could be little of both
2nd greatest rb of all time, only behind franco harris
Sweetness enters the chat
On the Steelers of course
Not even close
Honestly, Leveon Bell is the best we've had.
@@matthewd84don’t you dare disrespect Franco Harris like that again
"Brad" Kiesel. LoL.
And bettis is from Detroit
The Seahawks should beat the Steelers in superbowl 40 Seahawks got bad calls against them they want Steelers to win due the bus being from Detroit was the super bowl was played at
Seahawks fan here and this doesn’t bother me anymore because Super Bowl 48 exists
As a Steelers fan, I will agree and say the calls were bad in Super Bowl XL
Keep dreaming
The last NFL player from Notre Dame who was overrated or a bust outside of offensive line guys like Quentin Nelson who is like Allen faneca who went to LSU
Nelson had a good start to his career but hasn’t been the same since his knee injuries
@@fortynights1513 ya faneca was a road grader
God damn Joe Buck has come a long way.... That Randal EL return commentary was tragic....
Haha, pretty sure this is Ron Pitts on PxP. But it was lacking energy.
That’s not Joe Buck…
Ahhh my fault
The announcer’s Ron Pitts
Steelers were extremely lucky they didn't have to face the Patriots in the playoffs that year and not to mention that SB vs Seattle was rigged. It was bettis farewell and in his hometown of Detriot.
That field looks terrible
How rude
@@LiamDeege It is terrible. What are you talking about
@@Kings0424 Why do you think it's bad?
@@LiamDeege It's muddy and everything
@@Kings0424 Still a good venue for Pittsburgh fans like me.
These announcers blow! Seeing a PR TD and not making a single noise the whole way. What a joke. BIG UPS to The Bus, he's a steelers legend.
