Spot the American: RYE OO JEEN hahah, srsly tho bro I love that list. And I hold 0 also in high regards. I love challenges and of ALL the Yakuza titles, going for a hundred percent in 0 is pain. Suffering, it's brutal. But one of the most satisfying feelings you can ever have when after hundreds of hours, months of work you can finally lean back in your chair and say "I've finally beaten it" Best 20 Bucks I've spent in my LIFE! And not gonna lie? The storytelling in 0? I'm not too proud to admit I've cried like a bitch several times. More than in the Kiwami titles. Seriously good game.
Im playing through all of em again, after having played most of em when they came out. I mean maybe 7 is my favourite cuz i love ichiban and was so impressed they added a new likable protagonist, but its hard to choose.
My favorites are: 0,5,6 and Kurohyou. dont need to explain 0, we all get why its the GOAT. Yakuza 5 is the culmination of a decade of worldbuilding, it honestly feels like the true end of Yakuza because lets be honest after 6 there was a pretty major shift in theme and feel. Yakuza 6 is so good because its so damn replayable, its short and fast-paced, like a quick injection of Yakuza into your Veins also HOTTEST YAKUZA TAKE: 6 Combat is incredibly underrated, its easily among the best but people dont give it a fair chance because its so different; Stun-locking, Parrys, Blocks, Back attacks and Quicksteps need to be masterd but once you got it, its incredible also the side content doesnt overstay its welcome (cough cough Infinite Wealth). Kurohyou has the best story of any Yakuza Game, its a bit predictable at times but that doesnt take away from how badass it is, also it has by far the best soundtrack in the series, you thought 0 and LJ had good Music? They barely compare to Kurohyou, the only weakness is the lack of QTEs and Dynamic Intros can really take away from the epicness of the fights. Your Opinion is valid tho, i think thats the strength of Yakuza: everyone can find something for them, for me its the Music and Gameplay which makes these Games great, for some its the Story and for some its the Side Content and i love that about Yakuza.
my favourite is yakuza 0, my favourite character is kiryu or nishiki and i got into the games because of the yakuza 0 dame da ne and friday night memes!!
So bizare to see Yakuza 5 so low. I already got over the fact that no one likes Yakuza 3(it's called 3, because only like 3 people, including me, actually played it, even after hearing all garbage people talk on it), but Yakuza 5 was so good, in my opinion, I would even argue it being on pair with 0. Also, 5:13 very accurate. I will gouge out Judge Eyes of anyone, who will call it .
5 is only so low because of the pacing compared to other games. i do truly like y5 it has some of the best combat in the series but the saejima prison section was miserable. ending was amazing and super emotional tho. :3
Its my least favorite honestly, fights are too short, it feels like a heat action simulator and the combat is very unresponsive. But i do get why its liked its just not mine. Ironically Yakuza 6 is one of my favorites, combat gets really good when you figure out the strats (with most of them not working in K2 sadly)
Like the english dub if you want but you're objectively having a worse experience if you play infinite wealth in english. The language barrier is a key plot point in several scenes. The whole reason Tomizawa is able to get away with saying "haha loser" more or less is because the cops don't speak japanese. Then there's the bit where the chinese grunt does a gamer off the hotel roof and Ichiban has no clue why. Which sounds stupid if they're all speaking english. (Which I assume is the case because how dumb would you have to be to change some lines to english where context matters then not change the others?)
i can’t get where you’re coming from but i’m like 90% sure the chinese grunt is still speaking chinese (i played my first playthrough in english) English has a better Dwight voice and Bryce voice tho and i do believe that english is overly hated. I CANT LIE THO YAMAI IN JAPANESE HAVING DIOS VA IS SOO MUCH BETTER THAN HIS ENGLISH. (his english does fit him tho)
@@DirtyDan77- I'll take the most atrocious engrish from the jp dub over the classic iconic jp voice acting, people who like it dubbed are just coping cuz reading subs and learning basic phrases in Japanese 2 hard zzzzzzz
Professional lost judgment hater here to tell you lost judgment is DOODOO WATER. Sure the story was fine and really hard hitting at moments, but I’ve never had such AWFUL side content. You don’t get to choose what piece of side content you play, nor how far you get there. You first need to play every bit of the fucking school storyline to play the next part of the boxing minigame. Never mind the barren base game side quests that you don’t have to pay for.
@@kopjevla I like his ideology and reasoning a lot, and the fact that he serves as a direct foil to Yagami is even better. He's meant to be predictable really, he's a high school teacher, not the mole. Also the entire concept of justice and all it's variables that Kuwana directly opposes is pretty neat to. All in all though, he's great imo.
@@solace2679 hmmm fair, idk the side content left a very sour taste in my mouth and I felt like the main story was a step down in total. Definitely some moments that were amazing though
you did not just do 5 like that.
Aizawa's final boss was peak masculinity
Aizawa had me RAGING
I dont get why 5 is disliked, loved 5. Its so different and feels like several different games stuck together which is definetly interesting.
i don’t really hate it i was kind of just joking but it’s definitely not my top
5 is my favourite fucking game I will never forgive you for this

Yakuza 2 on the ps2 is my favorite, way better than kiwami 2 in the combat department.
Put in alot of hours in yakuza 0 man the memories.
