Special thanks to Gomoto Xperience Lab for offering us the rare opportunity to review the Shoei X-Spirit 3 helmet and, a look at actual helmet worn by Alex and Marc Marquez and, our very own Hafizh Syahrin.
We took a closer look at the Shoei X-spirit 3 helmet, exploring all of the technology behind the design of the helmet. Check out the super cool features and how aerodynamics played a major role in the helmet design. Not to mention some unique visor attachment system that locks and seal the visor tightly onto the helmet.
Plus, we get to compared this off-the-shelf-readily-available X-Spirit 3 helmet to those worn by MotoGP riders and try to find out what's the difference, or, are they the exact same helmet

This was extremely informative. To be very frank, I don't watch motoGP. I just love the styling of the helmet, I don't even ride sport bikes, only naked cruisers.

Speaking of insightful, we found that half the “cool” factor in riding sports bike comes from the colorful helmet, the combination of both the bike and the helmet design define individuality. That’s why we love full face helmet even when riding cruiser 😎😎😎

Thanks for explaining how to do the pads. A lot of people doing the reviews on this helmet are taking the pads out and adjusting them why’ll out of the helmet. Nice to know you can leave them in.
Very detailed information. FYI - they are cheek pads not chin pads. Also they are air channels not just air vents. Also 350kph? That means the flaps are useless at highway speed? But I love my Alex replica.

That's a good one, we couldn't quite get the exact date when it was first launched. However, the X-spirit lineage goes way back to 2004, starting with the X-7, but that was from as far as we can remember.

All MOTOGP rider have there own fitting helmet.

x14, xspirit Is the shell the same size? is the weight only different?
The sizes for both X-Fourteen / X-Spirit III are set by the combination of 4 different size shells and 5 sized impact absorbing liner.
However these 4 shell sizes cover 6 different helmet size, from XS to XXL (meaning, XS and S may be of the same shell size but different liner, XL and XXL could be the same shell size with different size liner and so on).

Actually those are the same helmet, X14 is marketed in American market whilst X Spirit 3 is catered towards Europe and Asian market. The differences are in the shell sizes, and also compliance and adherence towards safety regulations and certifications.

@@bmxallday666 Actually both are the same.
The difference between X14 and X-Spirit are the inner layers. This is due to the difference in head shapes between Asians and Europeans (or Americans). Hence, each caters toward its respective market.
The outer shell is the same for both models, both adheres to and comply with JiS, ECE, DoT safety standard requirements, and also standards by private organisation like Snell and more importantly, both are approved and certified by FIM for use in sanctioned races.

I just see this video compare between SHOEI X14 vs X Spirit 3 and show that X spirit 3 is more lighter than X14, is it real or not??
@@lunarti4294 yes, it's true. Due to american regulations, Shoei has to make some adjustments to the X spirit 3, which is the X14, essentially they're the same helmet, but the x14 is a little heavier to fit in the US rules.
Just cruising at 350kph all good haha
Not exactly cruising but then again, should the occasion arises, you know you have a steady helmet for it 😅
