Nice to see you out and about on the land again Andy! Hope you and yours are well, and you enjoyed your break. Lovely spindle whorl 🤩 and who doesn't like digging up a nice chunky cartwheel? If we don't see you on our screens again beforehand, have a great Christmas and good luck 👍🏻😁
Great to see you back again detecting ! Nice to hear you have a new permission - promising finds there ! All the best and have a wonderful Christmas as well ! Looking forward to t'next video.
Thanks Troy, I'm not sure how long I'll have access to it really, I think it might be getting sold, but hopefully I'm wrong. All the best to you and yours buddy. 👍
Cheers Ronnie, you won't be able to miss it when you do walk over one, screaming signal buddy. J hope you have a great Christmas buddy and good luck on your next detecting session. 🙂
Good to see you back. 1st issue copper penny of Victoria, the date on these is below the bust. The style and size of these followed those of Geo IV and William IV. In 1860 there was a big recoinage and the size was reduced and the coins were struck in bronze in the style familiar to all detectorists. For some reason the early larger copper coins of Victoria are not a common find whereas those of Geo III turn up all the time.
Great to see you out and about in the fields and on video fella love finding those Cartwheel pennies, gurt big coins which must have worn many holes in many pockets!
Hi Andy , welcome back pal and not a bad result on the new permission some nice finds the cartwheel is in nice nick and a couple of lovely spindle whorle's , anyway good video mate and all the best for xmas and the new year , take care mate Rob 👍🎄
Sods law mate found a cracking 1604 King James shilling and no phone and no camera latest go pro vid shows too much of my permission so thats almost unusable
1797 for the cartwheel penny, it was only in circulation for a year as the public did not like the size and weight so refused to use it. It was taken out of circulation the same year! Happy Christmas bud and thanks for the videos
HI your coin is what we up in the highlands call a bawbee its not quite hammered but its the next best thing and i think your right when you say charles the 2nd
The copper hammered is a turner coin (two pence) Charles 1st or 2nd dosent have a bust on it has a thistle on one side and a crown on other side with CR underneath (Charles rex) and either I or II to the right of the CR think it's from 1625 to 1685 between the reign of both King Charles's. Hold day and some nice finds tho well done! 👍🏻
