Hello friends, it's been a while hasn't it? I'm glad to say that I've been metal detecting again and my luck has continued for now at least. Please do join me as I make some interesting and very old finds.

Cheers John, not sure I have the space for one. It's only a 12' x 8' shed, got a table saw, mitre saw, bandsaw and a planer thicknesser out of shot. Still waiting for parts for tge planer before I'm able to use it 🤫 Are you a woodworker?
Hello Andy from Switzerland, great video again!you actually found a 5 Franc Swiss coin from 1975!Great finds!keep safe!!!
Thanks for the info buddy, it's appreciated 👍
Some lovely finds worth there! I'd be over the moon with a Saxon coin and the pin head was stunning.
Thanks Diane 🙂
Ohh Andy Andy Andy,
Boy have I missed not seeing your videos.
I know there are many detectorists out there who do some lovely videos, but yours were the ones I used to enjoy and look forward to the most .
I had open heart surgery 2 years ago , and my recovery has been dreadful, but when I couldn’t go out digging ( which was quite often ) I’d watch your videos for some comfort and inspiration.
I miss not having so many new ones to watch now , I’ve even had to resort to watching your older videos as reruns again and again, as I’d forgotten the content of them , that’s the only benefit to losing one’s memory, I’ve forgotten the outcome of them 🙂, and your older videos have given me some salvation.
Woodworking’s gain is metal Detecting’s loss .
I hope you still get to do a few videos or I’ll just have to go cold turkey 😀.
There were some lovely find’s in this video, well done mate .
Take care Andy, and I’ll hope to see you on video sometime in the future, whenever that be .
Cheers
Steve
Hi Steve, that's very kind of you. Sorry I haven't been out detecting much, but other things seem to have got in the way so to speak. Hope you're keeping OK?

Great to see you back Andy, fantastic finds by the way.
Thanks very much Greg and sorry for my late reply.
Whew....great to see you again, Andy. Was missing you and hoped you were doing okay. Beautiful finds, especially all the Saxon. I love woodworking but have had to watch it on video the past couple of years. Really love watching the woodturners. Glad you have a great hobby for the winter months and while fields are in crop.
Thanks very much my friend. I do watch and learn from UA-cam, can you recommend any good channels? 👍
@@TerraBritannia For great info, I watch two that are excellent. The Scottish Detectorist is great for telling history behind some finds. He found a gold hammered two years in a row at Detectival. His day job is as tour guide around Scotland, so his history lessons are amazing. Then there is HolzHammer Sagas. He is heavy on the Romans and explains what each one is. Great channel for learning and is entertaining also. I am in love with his Russell Terrier. For fun, there is Chris at Found in the Ground. He has found some amazing things over the years. Then there is The Grim Bleeper and Addicted to Bleeps for fun along the way. I like learning about finds in the ground and being entertained along the way. There is some that have made me smile through the whole video.
Some great find Andy, always enjoy your videos.
Thanks John 👍
Great to see you back again Andy. I were startin' to get a bit worried! That is a serious lookin' shed mate ! All the best for your woodworkin' ! Wonderful finds - great Roman and an excellent anglo-saxon silver! All the best !

Hi Erik, thanks a lot buddy. All the very best 🙂
Great to see you back Andy have missed your videos
Thanks very much Jane 😉
Hi Andy
Not a professional but have been doing woodwork for about 50 years on &off
I have done wood turning for about 15 years
You don't need a large lathe for bowl & spindle work
I mainly do what is known as segmented turning
Take a look at record power tools they do bench mounted lathes
All the very best
