What is the MISSING piece to Windows Touchscreens? - Why is Tablet Pro the MUST HAVE app for Tablets

- I love the idea of tablets for getting work done. It's like a magic pad of paper that can do almost anything. I don't want to pull out a keyboard and sit at a desk, I want to hold it like a notepad and interact with touch and ink and make all sorts of things come alive. But something is missing.

It's so slow interacting with just a stylus without hotkeys. This is the problem Tablet Pro was created to fix. Touch screens should have program specific touch keyboard shortcut express keys. The touch screen should be able to function as a trackpad. We should be able to pinch to zoom the ENTIRE screen and we should DEFINITELY be able to remap ALL the buttons on our stylus to whatever we want.
This is how we make tablets more than a play thing. This is how we make tablets powerful, portable workhorses that don't tie us down, but let us work where we want, how we want, and when the inspiration hits, not hours later in a stuffy windowless office that smells like old cheese. Tablet Pro has a free trial. check it out, you won't be disappointed. - Justice

Wow Tablet Pro rocks, thank you Justice!
I wasn't pleased enough with Lazy Nezumi pro because it just didn't really help me use Rebelle 5 in tablet mode. I had previously tried the Tablet Pro demo and must have missed something, anyway, I decided to just go buy it and just have faith in your recomendation.
Once purchased I must have done something right (I'm not great with installing software, actually I really don't like all that) SO I launched Rebelle, AND... hey presto there to the side was your Rebelle button set. FANTASTIC! I'm left-handed and can even have them on the right hand side of my (zenBook Flip) tablet.
Now I've got what I've always wanted, thanks to you Justice. Thank you so much for all your effort producing your brilliant Rebelle tutorials, for your hugely knowledgeable pen/stylus reviews and, of course for doing such a cool job with tablet pro manager.Super appreciated.
Just awesome, Thank you again Justice.
I love that setup. Looking forward to trying it out on my galaxy book2 pro 360 once it arrives. I hope it works! I couldn't go with the surface pro - too much line jitter still. Here's hoping that they someday get it as good as the apple pencil.
I wish I bought the galaxy book pro 360 (not the latest version) on sale! I bought the Flex2 alpha on sale and found out it was MPP. I ran into a lot of problems trying to find what worked with it. By that time, the return window passed. Then I found out I have to buy a surface pen to use the pen sensitivity and tilt settings. At that point, I might as well have waited for the older version of the pro 360 to go down.
I still like the flex2 alpha. Enough not to get too ruffled up. Maybe 3-5 years from now I'll upgrade. I am not a pro artist yet. QLED screen with DCI P3 100% is enough even if I have to fight the jitter.
I heard with the slim pen the jitter is much better

EDIT: never mind his channel has the videos, no need to do extra!
You know, I am using the Renaisser pen and I just realized if I hold it at a 90 degree angle to the screen, I get few jitter. I also didn't push the tip all the way in and it feels more responsive to pressure. I am going to post it online soon. $30 pen.
this is awesome! I just got a lenovo laptop with touch screen, I wanted to get a good pen for 3d sculpting with zbrush,. do you have any good recommendations on what pen should I purchase?
great man!
Hi, what does the app do? Have been to your website, seen other vids, yet it's not yet clear why or what this app is for? Will hunt some more, quick look not enough obviously :)
OK a drawing app :) I came here from your onenote vid, I'm searching for a drawing note taking app for samsung tablet that syncs to pc live without effort, no export manually
There is a suite of apps, the main one is the Tablet Pro TOUCH software. It puts a touch panel on the side of the display to send frequently used shortcuts per application. Frequently used by artists and note takers, but I use mine for video editing a lot and chrome, a number of places. Hope that helps 😊
I'd like to try this tablet pro app. Can someone suggest best 2 in 1 laptop for 3d sculpting so far?
Surface pro
What is on the website is some completely different application. I only have the touchpad and can't find the other panels. The app is completely unintuitive, it installs several apps in the taskbar.
The PenTool app no longer has a trial version.
Everything looks cool on the video, but in reality it does not work as it should.
I unnecessarily wasted an hour on this application, the video should be removed because it is just plain lies.
Is this compatible with W11?
Yes, it's compatible
Can somebody please make a video actually explaining how to use it with the current UI. I've clicked on about 10 different videos of him "explaining how to use it" but actually just showing how to change colors or a function but not a single video on how to just open the app select a preset and have it show up on zbrush. Sounds easy? Wish it was.
I believe the channel homepage does that. But you can just double click the pen tool icon and double click the Zbrush preset and it will open. If you have problems you can message me here
Just bought the full package. Would be great if you could make an updated series for onenote. I am using the Raphael520 with two buttons.
Also I was searching for some video where I could setup all the tools for different use cases
Ok. I’ll work on it. Thank you 😊
@@TabletPro One thing I could not get was in one Note presets for Artist pad. Some pen marker icons click on two locations when clicked but some select only 1 pen.
Can I make a pen icon that can switch between three locations makes it easier to group similar choices like
for highlighting
text
headings
This can be great help
You can stack buttons like that. The highlighter is two buttons. In the layout editor you can drag one off of the other. They need the exact position and size to work as stacked buttons.
so its the future 2023 and we still wasting one row of screenspace for the FREAKING name of the programm OR three stupid buttons. WHEN will they change this stupidity
I'm a retired teacher and now learning to draw! I just got my new R520BT pen today! I do use it on Krita mostly on a HP Envy x360, Don't let anyone tell you --That it won't work on HP causes AMAZON reviews said it couldn't be done. I'm loving it! I also I folded mine into tablet mode. I appreciate you making all the videos, Here comes the " BUT" I would love to see you do one that walks you through the whole process or maybe add transcript in the description? Thank you for all you do!
Can anyone suggest me a cheaper tablet where i can use rebelle 5/5pro and tablet pro together.
I have an ipad, just want to buy a cheap tablet only for rebelle ❤️
does the tablet pro interface button have a portrait mode setting where the buttons are on the top or bottom (horizontal) of the screen?
Yes. It’s called the side mode. And you can choose top or bottom. It’s not as developed as the Artist Pad mode but it’s close.
I got my surface laptop studio today, together with the slim pen 2. I tried the pen in whiteboard but Was not able to use the top as an eraser. Do i have to enable this somewhere or could it be that the pen isnt working as intended?
does it work in other programs correctly like in onenote? In control panel there is an option in hardware and sound - pen and touch to enable that. but I haven't seen that setting actually do anything before. Maybe that is what it does.
@@TabletPro i Asked the Microsoft Support for help, deleting and reinstalling the drivers for the pen fixed it
Great app. I use it to make custom onscreen hotkeys on my Samsung 360 2in1 laptop to trigger hotkey commands in Clip Studio Paint and ZBrush with my thumb while I hold the 360 folded into tablet mode and draw with my other hand.
Tablet Pro is a must have app for artists using the Samsung 360 2in1 laptop.
Thanks for sharing this Dale 😊 can I ask you a question? Are you able to get the Pen Tool to remap the side button for you? I'm trying to put together a quick guide for Samsung owners on how to get that set up effectively.
@@TabletPro I have not bothered to set up the pen tool. I use a more ergonomic Lamy ERM stylus which is perfectly compatible with my 360 (the SPen is a Wacom tech ERM stylus but of course you know that). The button on the Lamy stylus is not ergonomic to use so I don't use it.
I've been a Wacom user for years and rarely used the stylus buttons, even those on their 3d stylus and "airbrush". It is easier for me to just use hotkeys with my nondominant hand's thumb.
I don't like stylus button triggered radial pie menus either.
Sorry I can't help.
Hey...I have a question. Will Tablet Pro work on a second touch display? I may be experimenting with using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 Ultra as a second drawing display to a Windows gaming laptop.
@@dalecipperley40 I feel pretty similar, when it comes to stylus side buttons. Which is kind of funny since I make the software that reprograms side buttons. But the Pen Tool adds a number of functions to the regular tablet pro software. As for working on a second monitor, the click location buttons do not and will throw up a warning. So you may need to remove them from the preset. But yes you can use a second monitor.
While I'm not doing much of the "go" in surface go, being able to tote art around is great. Learning blender to rig some 3d models to print and I'm not tied to a desk :D
If only win11 didn't have menus that popup on swiping from the left edge (news) or right (action panel). As a lefty I have it on the right so your tool bugs out for a sec trying to take over the area.
Yeah, the swipe from the left is kinda a pain for me as well. I remember I did disable it at one point. But I think that was Win 10. I bet you could still do it in Win 11. I think it's called edge swipe.
