@John Jennings what color is R G and W so I know which one to connect to the thermostat what is common because I heard common is blue I also thought white goes with white green with green but you said black is common help ne out here
Seems like everybody has a different idea of what color common is...I use black, some use blue, some brown. We do try to keep a standard like you said. W terminal is white, G terminal is green, R terminal is red, etc. C terminal is common but ??? who knows what color you have. Just make sure the common on one end attaches to the common on the other, even if it is not the same color wires. It is the connnection not the color that matters.

How much is the element for heat only?
If you're talking about the hot surface ignitor it is probably $50 to $60 online. Could be more but I doubt it.
