I've fixed the problems I had with the car using your guide, now it shoots to the left under breaking even breaking on right hand turns it wants to go left! I've changed the bias etc but I'm kinda stuck and it's annoying in the faster cars 😅

I have a question. Could you perhaps show in a separate video how to tune and drive the cars in snow and rain conditions. Especially the open wheel races are almost impossible for me to drive. Even in the rookie segment i just cant get through the faster corners without sliding out without being able to get the car back under control.
Tx again for the videos. Because of them i turned of all assists and im banging manual gears now.

@@R3B3L22Hey there, gotta admit, I had a completely different outlook before seeing this video and testing myself about the softer springs for handling. However, I must note (Yes, I know you made this a year ago) that the Anti-Roll bars are not called ABS. ABS is the abbreviation for Anti-Lock Braking system. I think you were looking for ARB but I digress. Sometimes, depending on the car, the exact opposite can occur. The audi A4 Quattro is a perfect example, as softer springs and rollbars actually cause SEVERE understeer.
As for your issue with the icy and rainy events, I'd reccomend trying longer gears and implementing precise throttle and steering control. I've found that on most events with extreme weather make cornering difficult without an all wheel drive vehicle. Best of luck OP
Great video, but ABS is Anti Locking Braking. Did you mean ARB as in Anti Roll Bars? I did enjoy the video though as I'm a Grid veteran and the setup you just displayed is one I've used all through the more recent games (grid 2 I think it was when I started to tweak setups) to help me gain better lap times 👍

@@R3B3L22 I love the handling model, which is more realistic than people give it credit for (provided you turn all the assists off of course). I hate the way everyone insists that a game is unrealistic unless it controls so poorly that its basically unplayable with a controller
@@MC-bh8ph 💯 it’s not bad for sure. It took a bit to get used to on controller. But I hooked up a wheel just for the hell of it was a blast. I’ll have to get back on soon and check out this demo durby stuff.
How do you make it so you can weight shift? (Weight Shifting is when you get spun out fast at high speed and it causes the weight to shift over to whatever direction you’re going causing you to flip)
I tried this tuning for a short track but the Mitsubishi eclipse in story mode ,it was terrible . I like to be able to drift around corners and not lose control and this was not the setup for that. I'm not saying it's a bad setup for what you were doing and it could very well be driver error on my part but I normally have been setting mine up the complete opposite of what you did except for gear ratio I always put that one click down but dampers and springs I'll put it one click up and leave everything else in the middle. It really depends on how you like to drive in this game.btw this is my first time playing grid I had low expectations and it is really cool if they had complete customization where you could change the wheels and body this would be the best racing game it's definitely my number too because it feels like it's in between arcade and simulator and that is a perfect balance for a racing game horizon 5 is definitely my favorite because they made customization so good I mean there is not one thing that you can't change ..nice video 🤘🏻
That car he is using is a v8 can use engine for control, that eclipse can't every car has different power output
I got to a certain race in story mode where my car absolutely controls like a slug, it's an absolute slog so far. What are the ideal tuning changes before a race to make a car more responsive?
its going to depend on the track. is the car sliding out a lot or just slow? some cars its not even worth tuning if they aren't moderately fast
@@R3B3L22 it slides way too much, and when you try to turn with the left stick, it barely turns. I slam into every single wall on turns.
@@bdre5555 what car? it almost sounds like your suspension is to stiff. you can try to soften your suspension and dampers to give the car more body roll to transfer weight. there are a few cars in here that just handle terrible lmk the car tho and ill drive it and see

Anti roll isn't ABS. ABS Is anti lock braking system.

I got the logitech g29 for Xmas and it's on ps5 sitting directly in front of an 85 inch samsung 120hz tv and I always drive in the cockpit
It is kind of fun to do the drifting mode from outside the car sometimes but now that I have the steering wheel, I always wanna be behind the wheel and pretty much shaver. Put it into any type of third person view
