I've literally been waiting for someone to post a video like this! Thank you!
You're welcome! I saw dates were officially announced today, so get ready for ticket purchases soon.
Seems to me that the Flamingo hotel might be the best option to view the race because it's close to the street (not set back like the Bellagio, for example), it's located in the middle of the longest straightaway on the track where most of the passing might happen, and it sits parallel to Las Vegas Blvd. which means that all of the many rooms on the front side of the hotel will have perfect views of the track. I'm curious to know why you wouldn't recommend this hotel, and/or why you put it at the bottom of the list of recommendations? Please advise. Thanks!
It all depends on which strip view room you get. Those closest to the strip offer a decent view of the cars on the straight but the field of view is still somewhat limited. Might be able to catch some DRS overtaking but it could be hit or miss if you don’t get a good room. The higher ranked hotels have better odds of getting rooms with good views with a wider field of view. I’d rather just buy street side tickets rather than book the flamingo to get a better view of them coming down the boulevard, but that’s just me.
Closest cosmopolitan rooms to blvd are best balcony rooms easily
If you had a choice of Caesars Palace, Flammingo, PH or Horseshoe for that weekend which would you choose? They’re offering me comp rooms at those properties. Seeing the race from the room is a bonus but not preferred.
I'd say your best bet might be Flamingo or Planet Hollywood once you can get rooms facing Las Vegas Boulevard. They're physically the closest to the road. Caesers might be a stretch because I dunno how much F1 is gonna block the strip because they're trying so hard to capitalize on every possible viewing angle.
@@gatechecked ok thanks, it was between Caesars and PH for me. PH I can get a strip view but not an option at Caesar’s
Thanks for doing this. Can I ask your opinion of Strip view rooms from Mandalay Bay? Too far away to see the action, or maybe??
Mandalay is a whole two blocks away from the turn at Cosmo so I doubt you can see anything from the room. It’s a good location if you want to walk to the track.
@@gatechecked Appreciate it! Can I ask your opinion of the strip view rooms from TI for this race?
Hello! I might be staying at the Wyndham Desert Blue so i was wondering if you had any information on the views from that hotel, thank you!
Hey! Thanks for watching. You "might" be able to see the cars but I'm not sure what the final product may look like. Maybe the barriers might block your view so I can't really say for sure. If you can get a room on one of higher floors on the East Harmon side, you might be in luck.
@@gatechecked ok awesome! And one more question, do you know of any sky bars or restaurants that will be able to over look the race?
@@BelovedVision There is the
Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop and Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas. Drai's Beachclub is also an option but I'm not 100% sure how good the view is from there even though it's on top the Cromwell Hotel.
This should be pretty amazing.
Indeed! Hopefully we can actually get tickets
Do you have an updated VIdeo if you did end up going to the RACE and what your view was like from the Hotel?
Never bothered to go because of how expensive the tickets and hotels were initially. If things were a bit more convenient, I might have gone given how cheap everything turned out last minute. I'll try to put together a new video next year using some clips from others who visited and hopefully I can go myself in 2024.
@@gatechecked that would be awesome! I am currently in the process of booking for next year
So I’m tryin to understand, without a ticket, do you still have access to walk the strip??
Not 100% sure but knowing how Vegas works around money, I'm sure they will block it off for non-ticket holders during race hours.
Grand Desert rentals short walking distance to F1 start/finish
Only $800 a night at the palazzo 😄😄😫
Those package prices are gonna be fun! 😭
