- JJ and Rudy Jimenez are a brother and sister team making Mexican-American fusion candy out of their parents' home in Brenham, Texas. After seeing dulces enchilados blow up on social media last May, Rudy was eager to try the sweet, sour, and spicy treats. So JJ and Rudy went to the store and whipped up a batch of their own. From there, the company Enchilositos Treats was born.

Bringing In $105K A Year Making Mexican-American Candy | On The Side
So proud of them 🥺❤️
So happy that you are supporting small business!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
A toda madre hermana 🇲🇽🇺🇸
Yo that’s so dope!! Way to make a difference and help people get closer to their dreams. Extremely good karma for you 🤞
@@dreafar4137 No they're not. They're buying foods from big companies and reselling them at a 200% market rate. There're lame losers 🤮🙁
I love that you showed this small business such huge support. ❤️
I’ve realized that nowadays anything you’re passionate about can make you a living.
My Aunt strips for a living and makes over 150k a year, although I get embarass in school I am really proud of her!
@@JamarMatthewGrant Who gives af what anybody thinks. She’s successful in her own way, that’s al that matters!
@@JamarMatthewGrant 😂
Not true. It's about niche demand.
@@slickrick2420 It is true, you’re literally witnessing it in this video. Stop being difficult for no reason.
it’s crazy how much people can accomplish by just trying, start off small, put in the work and it will pay off just take every set back as a learning experience 😁
Well And Best Said!! 👍
They were smart to do this video. This is free marketing.
I love the ingenuity especially seeing the sibling dynamic in business ♥️
i remember mixing gummy worms and peach rings with chamoy and tajin in middle school and selling them on the dl to students. so you're telling me everyone from my street could have been making six figures as adults by doing what we did in middle school nooooo lol
DL?
@@evileyez504 down low
@@evileyez504 many schools didn't allow students to sell goodies to other students unless the school was allowed to take a percentage of the profits because it was sold on their property lines so we would have to hide them
@@jasminebernardeau4 For real?? That's stupid! Taking some of the profits from children?? Wow 😳
@@anoukc6928 i know!! i wish i could be kidding!
Wow! I love seeing these stories cause it showcases a variety of people making money in ways I traditionally would never even think about, awesome stuff!
EDIT: those candies look so good I want some now omg
Omg I Know, I'm Waiting On My Order To Arrive
Well done. It’s great to see a brother and sister running a successful business especially at a young ago. May they be an inspiration to us all who need that push to follow our dreams.
I'm more amazed on their age. How could someone like him turns 26. And my jaw dropped when she told her age. 19. Wtf.
How old do they look
What are you saying exactly?
Same. Pretty shocking.
They look older than they are.
@@backtomimsey it’s cause they’re unhealthy especially the brother he just looks sweaty and gross. It’s sad seeing how unhealthy some Hispanics are. Like a LARGE majority of my family on my dad’s side have diabetes and other health conditions because they just eat nothing but sweets and fried foods. I love our food but too much of anything is never good.
You guys really need to show what their revenue is vs what their profit is, etc. You just saying "bringing in 105k a year" doesn't really tell us anything. I'm assuming it's gotta be $105k profit. How much goes back into the business, how much do they pay themselves, how much revenue did they make? etc
Nah. No one likes to give out their financials. These videos are simply just for entertainment purposes.
Didn’t they say that half of their earnings go back into the business.
@@missannebaron this doesn't say anything
@@tanmayasahu5171 Maybe I need to re listen to it but I’m pretty sure that what they said.
@@missannebaron no no you are correct about that, but I wanted to know more about finances of there business
Well done you two! This is awesome! I'm always so happy when youngsters become entrepreneurs! This is so inspiring and encouraging to others who want to start their own business. Proud of you both!
A sibling duo going to the moon!! So happy for you all!
I’m so happy and proud for these two young adults. 🤗
These kids doing what all Mexicans do on the daily and made it a profitable business. More power to them.
So inspiring! And so sweet that they do this together. Pun intended
I would highly recommend spicy-monkey!!

have an idea, execute the idea, and get connected with someone (influencer) with large channel of audience. Invest back the money & scale up. Easier said than done.
It'll be a $50k business with me since I'll eat half the candies I make lol
😅
Sammmmmmme 😭
I would highly recommend spicy-monkey!!

Omg tell me about it.. 🍬🍭
Look at them… they already eat half
Just like on HGTV: A pet iguana walker + a teacher- “our budget is $2.5 Million”
Please tell me this is real lmfaooooooi
I’m here for this!! Congratulations to you both 😋🤑
So foolish to open a physical location. WHY?! increase you overhead expenditures? For the 'we made it appearance? To have a landlord that'll raise rent if it's successful? Terrible terrible idea. Stick to the pure online play. Diversify into retailers if you ever get towards that scale.
Exactly what I was thinking. I think the first step would be to find a copacker and retailers. Not like I know wtf i'm talking about. I just watch a lot of shark tank
@@brimmed AGREE! I a have a business similar to this we are at the beginning stages, but we have already found a way to sell our candies in a local shop. And we still ship to other states.
You’re right. It’s best to continue online 👍🏼
Or do a food truck, aka a candy truck.
Why not? People like aiming to places because the change in environment. Also FYI the internet is sometimes the most competitive place there can be! Do some research before speaking on “foolishness”.
That’s awesome y’all! I’m over here trying to imagine what the treats taste like
This is so amazing!!!!! Happy for both of them. I want some candy now.
I Love You Guys!! Best Treats I Ever Ate! You Have Made Ordinary, Plain Candies Into Delicious, Extraordinary Treats.. I Am Also Proud Of You For Starting Your Own Business.. Keep Up The Great Work!! I Can't Wait To Order More.. ♥️
Men’s basketball
I love their story so much!! Congratulations!! 🥳🎉🎉 Wishing you continued success!! 🤑🤑 You are both very positive role models for our Latinx community 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Sigan adelante!
That’s amazing! There is so many spicy candy vendors some use premade chamoy/chili some make their own to differentiate. But they alll do make money! Everyone has their niche
This is amazing! I just have one genuine question. How are you allowed to resell American candies even with the new flavors? Aren’t there trademark or patent issues?
I was wondering the same thing.
-FBI-: op-
Gushers: *KNOCKING* OPEN UP
No Because it's different, also they're winning too so no no issue at all...it's like saying McDonald don't make their buns so they'll have issues
The American candy owners will probably thank them for adding to their revenue. It’s not a concern since they’re a supplier, maybe an issue if they decide to recreate their products.
I was thinking the same thing
This reminds me of the story about how hot Cheetos were invented. Good for them and I hope they continue to have success!
Chamoy candy wasn't created by them. It's something that a lot of ppl sell

I totally agree with you,Forex trading is the most profitable venture I ever invested in,I reached my goal of $500k yearly trade earnings, setting realistic goals is an essential part of trading
As a single mom I now make $15,000 monthly all thanks to expert Mrs Michelle
I saw a recommendation like this about the same trader earlier this year,I had a chat with her then she opened a trading slot for me,making an initial investment of $500 and got a Rio of $5000 in 7days

These made my mouth water and I havent even tried them
My mouth is watering now
I wish this was longer.
Congratulations! So many ways to Win!
Woulda brought in more if they didn’t eat so much of their own product 😂
As a Mexican American in Texas who’s constantly surrounded by these types of candies, im genuinely surprised they have such a successful business. It’s not an original idea, they’re super common if you’re from a border state. They must be really smart to be able to utilize social media better than their competitors. (Also, I thought it’s illegal to buy food and resell it? I always thought they couldn’t do that considering the other Mexican candy brands use knock offs.)
I think it might be illegal
its totally legal dude. the candy is an ingridient to their product.
Those companies probably do that because it's more profitable to use knock off candy than name brand. Surely these guys would be in trouble by now if it were illegal.
Buy it in bulk directly from the candy makers.
omg i wanna buy some of their candy 🤤🤤🤤 i love mexican candy! so addicting
proud of them
My favorite candy ever!!
Amazing!!
Those gushers look soooo good. There’s a Hawaiian version with gushers, li hing, and lemon peel and it’s soooo sooo good 🤤
I want to try now 🤤
I love making my own I have a tote full of candy I got my tajin and chamoy and other spices to make some whenever I’m wanting some I’ve bought from different sellers and tried them and I love how they all are different but still good
This looks sooooo deliciousss 😍😍😍
This is so dope! 💜💜
Looks so good 🤤
Amazing story
Congrats!
Goals! This is teaching me not to give up! I make candies as well and sometimes it doesn’t go as planned but I won’t give up now 😩🙏🏻🤍
Congrats and continued success!
Looks yummy! How do you keep the candy from going bad or stale?
See, now I got to go buy some.
Really inspiring
Why would you show how you make it sound like a horrible idea
I worked for a guitar company and the owner said the same thing. We shouldn’t show our process while others in the industry do show their staining and painting processes and fact of the matter is, if people like what you do and you do it consistently. Then it doesn’t matter who knows how to do it, people will come to you for reliability and convenience. Everyone can do this for sure but maybe .5% will even try to make it from home and likely even less will try to make an actual business of it..
Look up Maiiras Day! She shows people how to make the candies and chamoy sauce! Its all over youtube
aye yall, go buy their treats, they sooooooo GOODDDDDDDD and they’re affordable asf!!!💞💞
💖🌷💖🌷💖Love the channel!
So proud of my mexican american brothers... that hard work immigrant work ethic ww inherit from our families is key
Ugh this stuff is ssooooo good.
I ordered from them & everything was soo good. & it comes with a lot of candy, they are not stingy at all lol
I don't even eat candy but their candy looks so good and I like spicy and sweet stuff
BRAVO!
That’s amazing 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Niceee!!!! Wishing you guys continued success ❤️
This is great! ❤
Congratulations
I love it got to respect the hustle 🤩💸💸💸
They didn't create this fusion... It has been around for years! Come to Texas and this is literally sold everywhere you go. Kudos to them but they did not start nor create this!
Way to go!! 👏🏻
105k for putting chamoy and tajin on candy?
There’s more to a business than that lol managing website, managing social media, creating content, taking care of orders, distributing, looking for suppliers etc
