    DEMO Moza Mini P All Modes Explained and Demonstrated Gimbal Stabilizer
    This is an excellent handheld gimbal that can be used with a smartphone such as iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, an action camera such as the GoPro, or an actual mirrorless camera such as the Sony ZV-1. It is a full featured stabilizer, but understanding what all the features are and how they work can be a bit confusing. I made this instructional video guide to clearly illustrate exactly how each of the different stabilizing modes work and I show you both from the Camera View seeing how the modes affect the footage itself as well as from the gimbal view so you can see exactly how the gimbal is moving in each mode. Modes I cover: Sport Mode, Inception Mode, FPV Mode (aka First Person View) All Lock Mode, Tilt and Follow Mode, Pan and Follow Mode, Selfie Mode, and Return to Center.
    If you have a question about the product, something I failed to cover in the video, feel free to post it in the comments below. I do my best to reply to every comment!

    Thank You so Much! Definitely the best video on the subject I've seen yet.
    Here's a tip.. in inception mode, if you press the left button, it will rotate for you without holding the joystick, until you click it again.

    I've been using Moza Mini P with Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (512gb), Android phone with Nillkin CamShield Armor case. For Android people out there, the gimbal works well with this setup, and I'm not using the Moza Genie or Moza Master -apps because I need mostly just the different stabilizing modes and joystick that this gimbal gives.
    You don't even need to make a Bluetooth connection between your phone and the gimbal to use it as a stabilizer. The gimbal lets you use the following modes by just turning it on: FPV (default mode), Sport, Inception, All lock, Tilt and Follow, Pan and Follow, Selfie (turns 180°'s towards you), and Return to Center (double press on trigger button returns facing to normal). Gimbal lets you use the joystick to manually turn the facing where ever you want in any mode. You can also use the auto-calibration when you press "W" 3 times, it takes a while. So you can use all these modes with your Android phones native camera app. I guess the Moza Genie app might give you a little more tools for filming but it being only 30fps max capped on Android phones, I wouldn't bother trying to use it.
    I'm going to buy a Ulanzi Iron ST-02S phone holder to replace the default plastic holder that comes with Moza Mini P. I think this is a smart thing to do so that you don't have to count on a plastic phone holder since it might brake your phone. Also I recommend using some kind of a wrist strap on the gimbal in case you drop it.
    This video is very useful to check how the different modes operate.
    Take your time to stabilize your phone with the gimbal at first. Do it properly so the gimbal motors can operate optimal. I recommend checking how to do this from various videos in youtube.

      @@hollywoodfrodo Thanks, I will follow if you dig into of using the difference between a camera operation and a phone. I understand not all cameras will not respond to recording video, follow focus or snap shots and as well as iPhone or Android. You would believe no one nor the quick set up manual even mentions that a cable needs to be attach to the gimbal to control them. I had to find that out by watching a video on UA-cam and I said what's that cable sticking out from the camera. That's something I like to learn more.

I use the GoPro 3-way handle that places your arm down near your hip. With that setup you could actually vlog without anyone knowing your filming yourself. No need to be so close up and no handle to be seen. If there was an extension on the Moza Mini P that flexed up, I would buy it today. Thanks again for sharing..... Great job. 👍😊

      Sounds like you didn't balance it before turning it on. You have to balance the camera first. And that's not a quick easy process in the beginning. It takes me a good 10-15 mins - but I also have not had as much time as I wish to practice it and do it a lot. Pros say once you've done it repeatedly you get really quick at it. Anyway, you do have to manually balance the camera prior to turning it on - it will not work if the camera isn't properly balanced.

      I wouldn't say "easy" but also not "difficult." Unfortunately, I have not had a lot of time to use it/practice so my feeling is if I were using it regularly with the phone, after a few weeks it probably would seem almost easy, but even without the experience, it wasn't too hard, just took more time since I'd only done it a few times.

    Can you use all these gimbal modes without using the Moza Genie app? I have S21 Ultra and I want to use 4k 60fps, and not the crap 30 fps that the Moza app allows for Android phones. How am I limited with this gimbal if I'd use the phone native camera app with it or something like Filmic Pro?

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  2 роки тому +1

      Everything in the video you can do without using the Genie App. The gimbal is a full service gimbal with physical controls for all main gimbal moves. The Genie App just gives you some extra things you'd only be able to do with an app, but the main functions of the gimbal are controlled by buttons on the gimbal itself and not through the app, so you can definitely use the S21 Built in recorder or Filmic Pro along with this.

      @@hollywoodfrodo Thanks a lot for this very clearing answer, really appreciate your help! All these gimbal apps give us Android users only max 30fps so you can't really use them if you want nice quality video. I ordered this gimbal now after doing lots of research for which gimbal would be the best for Android (S21 Ultra) phone. I don't want a gimbal that says it supports max 300g weight because it sounds like the motors wont work long. Moza Mini-P on the other hand looks promising, bigger with good structure and supports large amount of weight.

    I've been trying to balance an android phone vertically but can't seem to be able. Can you help?

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  3 роки тому

      There are other videos out there that show you how to balance with this gimbal. I just watched all those I could find (including the official ones from Moza) and then it's just trial and error and practicing. I am not great at it myself yet so it takes me a while to get it balanced. The more you do it, the faster you get at it...

    I know dumb question. But does this charge your camera

    • @hollywoodfrodo

      No. Not a dumb question - there are gimbals that have that feature... This can connect to your camera and control some basic functions, but will not charge it.

    My centre point changed toward left side. How to fix it so that it can come at centre. Again as default.

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  7 місяців тому

      If you just want to return it to center, you click the trigger twice. If your center has gotten off so when you do that what it returns to is not true center, then the best thing to do is set it down on the tripod on a level surface and turn it off, make sure it's balanced, then turn it on again to reset it.

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  2 роки тому

      Yes, you can flip the L bracket that holds the phone/camera in order to film in vertical mode. Of course that does require re-balancing for it.

    • @hollywoodfrodo

      You have to mount the camera or phone vertical. You can switch from one to the other without remounting (and therefore re-balancing).

    Why out of hundreds of videos about this gimbal no one explained how to pair it to camera or phone. To use the zoom buttons or shooting and stop button it should have a connection to the actual camera but how to connect it to camera?

    • @hollywoodfrodo
      @hollywoodfrodo  4 місяці тому

      Well, this video is specifically about the modes. The Zoom & Film/Stop buttons depends on the camera or phone. Doesn't work with all of them in some default way because each camera is different. It can control that for some cameras I think, but not most. The bluetooth pairing mode for phones is fairly simple and explained in the manual and if you use the app they recommend you can use the buttons to control various recording options...

    • @hollywoodfrodo

      Hmmm... Have you updated to the latest firmware? Make sure you install the Moza Master app and do that. (Instructions here: store.gudsen.com/pages/faq-moza-mini-p) That might be the issue? Hopefully... If it doesn't work after the firmware update or you've already done that, then time to contact Gudsen and/or return to store for replacement. I haven't had any issues with mine not working for selfie mode.

    • @hollywoodfrodo

      You pull the trigger twice and the second time you hold it. So click - click - hold. You have to keep holding it to remain in all lock mode. As soon as you let go, it returns to default mode.
