That ending where Lionel and Vince were facing each other and then Vince brought a couple of glasses for some drinks was truly amazing. Along with them both smiling at each other, that made me smile as well. Grand work, Tom, as always!

I like how the AFC is a family betrayal story on an incredibly intense level and the NFC story is a fight over who gets to wear a suit.
Real talk though great stuff Tom, the balance between levity and drama is incredibly well done. The fact you’re able to pull off so many characters with unique personalities and perspectives as a one-man acting and writing show is true talent. Watching your growth throughout the years as a storyteller has been a real joy. I hope you keep the sagas going for a long time. Would love to see all the characters in the grossiverse come together somehow. Ed has come to rival Bruce and Springsteen as my favorite characters you’ve created over the course of this season especially!
What’s funny is that earlier in the season the AFCN was the goofy lighthearted show and the NFCN was the dark and family ridden one

Packers 🤝 Lions = End of the world. Yeah that sounds about right.
I love the choice to have the fire crackling throughout Ed and Otto's confrontation, even through the flashbacks, only to cut out when Ed finally shoots Otto. It's such a great metaphor for the raging inferno that is Ed's anger, only dying after it's wrought its destruction. These small, very missable details are what set you apart from the others, Tom. Truly a master storyteller.
It was also probably pretty cold without a fire this week.
The fire was burning all last week. I think it was Ottos hatred, the one that burned in his heart.
I actually thought he was burning the house down in week 18 since Steve was in the basement.
Some people want to watch the world burn.

If the Browns won, it would’ve been them vs. Ravens in the divisional. So maybe a standoff that leads into next week? Might’ve just stretched the timelines if the Ravens won that. But a Browns upset there would have bigger consequences for the plot…

It's weird because it's happening in real life as well. Ford Field was cheering on the Packers as they beat the Cowboys before the game. And honestly, it's a bit self serving for Detroit. Packers win does benefit the Lions. Until the NFC Championship lol.
As a lions fan. This is playing out pretty nice for the lions and packers. It would be cool to see us in the NFC championship game against each other. If that happens. It will be a great game. Whoever wins in taking in the super bowl.

Ed is approaching Wildflower levels of character development, even dealing with major losses like when Eugene died.

The suspense during the afc bro’s standoff was actually crazy. Was like an old western, even had the sudden shot and sound cut
so from jokes about Dentists and Kitty's to a nihilistic horror story involving blood-demons, murder and an ever increasing sense of claustrophobia and fear. It's been a wild ride Tom, thank you..
The small smile at the end sealed your greatest in this episode.
As a Packers fan, I want to beat the Niners half for the regular reasons, and half for the potential for an Packers-Lions Championship game. It would make the end of this series truly legendary.
Of course l would love for the Packers to go all the way and plunge a Wayne Larrime (sp) "DAGGAR" into the NFL. But I secretly yearn for a Bills vs Vikings or Lions SB. So one of them can finally win. Preferably the Bills. Just because.

The fire crackling after the "I'll look after Steve" line
I truly never want this saga to end. Thank you Tom for all the hard work you put into all this amazing content.
On the meta level, the final outing of the relationship between the Ravens and the Browns... "We're broken, you and I. Always have been." And "You left me, Ed. And I never forgave you for that." Absolutely brilliant.
And the part about Geneen fits my theory that she ran off to Indianapolis with a guy named Bob. Obviously they have 3 children... Peyton, Marvin, and Andrew.
This ep gave me full body chills so many times - damn, Tom! Phenomenal episode. SO! MANY! FEELINGS! And hats off, as always, to Daniel with the incredible score.
When the Texans beat the Browns on Saturday, I thought Otto might die this week, but when Ed told Steve to go downstairs I KNEW it was happening. A fitting end to a well-written villain. Well done, Tom.

Among everything else, I just want to add that this episode did great for showing who Randall is as a person. How he thinks, what he values, who he cares about. He's given a couple of choices and while Randall is an ambitious guy, he's willing to help out others in the right circumstances and with the right support.

It's weird how this series hasn't been about football in weeks and we're all still watching. That's good storytelling.

@@christophersmith8316 Or the others finding out it was Otto would have been pushed back to an upcoming episode, with maybe some other cliffhanger this time. So many different ways to play it. I know Tom has the broad strokes planned early on in the season, but coming up with the details to flesh it out based on every week's new (and usually surprising) outcomes, making it mesh with what's come before, then getting the episode writing, filming, and editing for release in just a few days, well, that's damn impressive.
But, of course, Tom seems to live by the words of the late, great Warren Zevon - "I'll sleep when I'm dead."
The main reason I want a Packers Lions NFCCG is just to see where this series takes it. Otherwise give me a Lions-Packers double knockout this weekend.

Oh yeah and go Lions honestly happy for the Packers too in Packers fans for some of them But if one of those two teams won the super bowl I would be happy anyone else other than the Kansas City Chiefs that'd be a little bummed maybe if Buffalo won that wouldn't be that angry because of the Jim Kelly years and how much they work for it and were beaten for straight times

Tom starting the video talking shit about his own office is my favorite meta of all time
This is possibly one of the best episodes you’ve ever done! I loved several parts. How much I’ve loved the characters so far especially Steve, blood demon, and Tim, so when Tim was killed, I was rooting for Otto to go too. Those details in that final confrontation, including Steve not wanting to say goodbye to the father who verbally abused and manipulated him for who knows how long, Otto’s last stand trying to manipulate Ed into not killing him, and my favorite part was when Otto died right after the blood demon said that he was a horrible father, the last thing said to him was that he was basically replaced as father, perfect scene right there. You should actually be a screenwriter
It's a bit surprising that the family comedy side at the beginning has two dead, but the drama about taking over is all still kicking.
