It was NOT mountainous - it had no mountains at all. The capital city was not called Naacal - that was the name of the brotherhood of monks that had the tablets. I add one comment in () and everything else I copied exactly, down to the punctuation. I did not add anything other that the one comment and the punctuation at the very start and finish to show it is a quote. I read the original book by James Churchward - and I will quote the book:
"It was a "beautiful" tropical country with "vast plains." The valleys and plains were covered with rich grazing grasses and tilled fields, while the "low rolling hill-lands" were shaded by luxuriant growths of tropical vegetation. No mountains or mountain ranges stretched themselves trough this earthly paradise to give an irregular, jagged, yet soft and graceful sky line. Mountains had not been forced up from the bowels of the earth.
This great rich land was intersected and watered by many broad, slow-running streams and rivers, which wound their sinuous ways in fantastic curves and bends around the wooded hills and through the fertile plains. Luxuriant vegetation covered the whole land with a soft, pleasing, restful mantle of green. Bright and fragrant flowers on tree and shrub added coloring and finish to the landscape. Tall fronded palms fringed the ocean's shores and lined the banks of the rivers for many a mile inland. Great feathery ferns spread their long arms out from the river banks. In valley places where the land was low, the rivers broadened out into shallow lakes, around whose shores myriads of sacred "lotus flowers" dotted the glistening surface of the water, like vari-colored jewels in settings of emerald green.
Over the cool rivers, gaudy-winged butterflies hovered in the shade of the trees, rising and falling in fairy-like movements, as if better to view their painted beauty in nature's mirror. Darting hither and tither from flower to flower, tiny hummingbirds made their short flights, glistening like living jewels in the rays of the sun.
Little feathered songsters in bush and tree vied with each other in their sweet lays.
The chirpings of lively crickets filled the air, while above all other sounds came those of the locust and he industriously "ground his scissors", telling the whole world all was well with him.
Roaming through the primeval forests were herds of "mighty mastodons and elephants" flapping their big ears to drive off annoying insects.
All this great continent was teeming with gay (remember this was written in the early 1900's, and gay did not mean the same thing as it does now) and happy life over which "64,000,000 human beings" reigned supreme. All this life was rejoicing in it's luxurious home.
Broad "smooth roads" ran in all directions "like a spider's web." These roads were laid with smooth stones, so perfectly matched that "grasses could not grow between them."
At the time of our narrative, the 64,000,000 people were made up of "ten tribes" or "peoples," each one distinct from the other, but all under one government.
Many generations before, the people had selected a king and added the prefix Ra to his name. He then became the hieratical head and emperor under the name "Ra Mu."
The empire received the name "Empire of the Sun.""
I can continue if anyone wants me to give more information. That is part of the description of the empire. If you want to read the full book for free, or even download it for free, the link to Internet Archive is below. I read the whole thing and downloaded it. Also another video said that the continent disappearing would have sent a Tsunami outwards onto Japan, and there would be stories there. I theorize that the continent broke apart from the middle, it caved in mostly, the water came from around it, with the tsunamis cancelling each other out, and the Islands left would be just pieces of land ripped apart from the main continent that didn't get sucked down with the rest.
Mu is not Lemuria, as some think, as Lemuria was the name given by mid-19th century palaeontologists because they thought it was a land bridge that existed between India and Africa and they therorized that that was how the Lemurs made it across, (not realising that one of the two creatures weren't lemurs. There was another continent in the Indian Ocean, which nowadays would probable be called Lemuria, but it's real name is Kumari Kandam. You can research it. The name Mu is much older than the name Lemuria because James Churchward found the name on the naacal tablets he read and translated, so therefore can not be Lemuria. Atlantis was in the Atlantic Ocean, so it wasn't Atlantis either. If you really want to push it, you can say that the Arctic was Hyperborea, which, like Atlantis, was Greek. Wikipedia says: (In Greek mythology, the Hyperboreans were a mythical people who lived in the far northern part of the known world.............despite their location in an otherwise frigid part of the world, the Hyperboreans were believed to inhabit a sunny, temperate, and divinely-blessed land. In many versions of the story, they lived north of the Riphean Mountains, which shielded them from the effects of the cold north wind.). If you can make the connection Admiral Byrd went to Antarctica and found beautiful land, but he also found the same in the Arctic. Therefore, there could easily have been 4-5 different lost civilizations if you really think about it. There is evidence, you just have to look for it. I hope this helps. (:

P.S. there are also other books on Mu James Churchward and his son Jack Churchward wrote, and you can get some of them for free. I personally think the oldest source of the information we can access, who did the investigation, is likely one of the best to go on. Fact-Checkers, feel free to check what I wrote. I know you will.

The refugees from Lemuria/Mu went East of the Pacific Ocean to Atlantis. East of the Pacific Ocean is America. Atlantis IS America. The Naacals (Nagas) were Lemurian/ Mu refugees spread all over the world. One group of refugees went to Palestine. The Essenes are the descendants of those ancient Atlantean/ American refugees. Jesus was a descendant of those Naacals (Nagas). When you look at a map of the Earth without water, there is no gigantic land mass on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. But, there is a huge chunk of the Earth's crust missing. Something hit the planet at that location, and displaced the crust there. Anyway, these Naacals/ Nagas are the same Nagas in Southern Asia.
