El tema Meigas fusiona los sonidos de Xabi Aburruzaga y las voces de las componentes del grupo gallego Tanxugueiras. La canción fusiona euskera y gallego y, paradójicamente, nació en Escocia.
Se conocieron en Glasgow, donde todos habían acudido al festival Celtic Connections. Aburruzaga presentaba allí su cuarto disco, “KeltiK”. Todas las noches tocaban juntos en las jam sessions que se organizaban y allí nació una amistad y una conexión musical.
Xabi las invitó a participar como invitadas en su nuevo disco, pero Tanxugueiras solo canta en gallego. Así que la letra de este tema fue escrita en euskera y gallego por Iñaki Aurrekoetxea.
The song Meigas fuses the sounds of Xabi Aburruzaga and the voices of the members of the Galician group Tanxugueiras. The song fuses Basque and Galician and, paradoxically, it was born in Scotland.
They met in Glasgow, where they had all attended the Celtic Connections festival. Aburruzaga presented there his fourth album, “KeltiK”. Every night they played together at the jam sessions that were organized and there a friendship and a musical connection were born.
Xabi invited them to participate as guests in his new album, but Tanxugueiras only sings in Galician. So the lyrics for this song were written in Basque and Galician by Iñaki Aurrekoetxea.

Soy castellano-manchega y yo si os valoro. Una mujer que yo la llamaba tía es asturiana y me llevo a Mieres, precioso, una parte minera pero el resto precioso.
