I love your videos and you've taught me a lot. I am learning Krav Maga and my ideas on knife attacks are to go the opposite side of the knife. If your attacker has a knife in their right hand, always move to their left (or my right) as soon as they make a movement. They have a lower range of motion when attacking to their left side and you have a distance advantage. In an attack you never know where they'll attack nor will you have the reaction speed or time to react. The best thing to do is go to their opposing side. 90% of the population is right handed so I will always go to their left (or my right). From there you do what you must to survive. Most likely you will be cut, I've trained for years and I got cut by a fake knife a lot. Avoid the situation entirely and you'll always have a 100% chance of surviving.

    *QUESTION:*
*Often stabbings happen in your own home, as a result of quarrels between husband and wife, or between family members.*
*Perhaps you think you can run like Usain Bolt, if you are in a corner of your kitchen? A lot of women die this way, and their killers are not ninja warriors, think about it.*

This is true. The best defense is to run, but sometimes running isn't possible. Sometimes you're protecting yourself or others who you care for. So it doesn't hurt to know how to defend yourself

There is a lot of self doubt in the comments of this video. People are scared, I get it. That's why you have to TRAIN yourself to be able to defend against it. You won't always be able to run, nor will someone you love when you can. Are you gonna just say there's nothing you can do about it without even trying?

Techniques like this look like more tactical things that would be used by soldiers. But for the average person, you might not be in a scenario where you can run; there might be other people around that you want to try and protect or there could be an intruder in your house.
Regardless, if you can run. Run.

Still more helpful than a knife on my chest...in a knife fight you have to be fast, and have a perfect tecnhique, something that the average person don't have...in a dojo this is beautiful to watch and to practice, in real life, leave it to the soldiers and masters on knife handling

    • @hisoka8528
      @hisoka8528 7 років тому +4

LIBERAL THINKING ALWAYS GETS YOU KILLED! Once you waited to protect yourself it's to late! We tried these Krava Maga BULLSHIT knife defenses for the longest time. We learned they aren't any good. The attack ALMOST ALWAYS comes as a surprise and the attacker is too fast. Once your brain realizes danger and has told you to do something you are already being stabbed (just like the VICTIMS in the black n white vid clip). STANDING IN THE GYM READY FOR THE ATTACK IS NOT THE SAME AS STANDING IN LINE AT BURGER KING THINKING ABOUT GETTING LARGE OR EXTRA LARGE FRIES! Don't train at your best. Life isn't about fighting at your best. The street isn't the Octagon! It's what you can do at the time of your worse caught off guard standing in front of the ATM machine! SITUATIONAL AWARENESS IS KING! DON'T LET THE ATTACKER GET THE KNIFE OUT OF HIS CLOTHING!!!! In this scenario, these two guys should have been working as a team and the secondary person should have already had his handgun DRAWN, HIDDEN AND READY TO FIRE or at least some kind of defensive weapon in hand. At the end of the clip notice how the guys realize they been stabbed... As the attacker drew back and his hand disappears he should have been being struck in the head by the doorman's baton or whatever defensive weapon he possessed. AND NO. BRUCE LEE WOULD HAVE BEEN STABBED TOO...

I got ya back Eduar. I will translate. He says " I can't believe i'm getting paid to teach people this bullshit." Situational awareness is KING! When the attacker is reaching into his clothing was the time to be knocking his teeth into the back of his throat! Don't fall for thinking training in the gym is the same as being caught of guard on the street. The liberal thinking of using equal force is nonsense! Once he gets out his knife (as clearly shown in the blk n wht clip) it's pretty much to late to use same lethal force in defense. Did you see how fast the attacker was moving? Did you see how they reacted after they realized they were stabbed? You're already way behind the curve in the fight! In Japanese Martial arts they teach guiding principles which one is called Musubi. (To have a connection with your Uke). When the attacker slightly retreats to draw his weapon is when you are to be blending with the attacker (stepping in) and as his hand starts to come out of his clothing with the blade is when you smash the little BITCH! jab the attackers arm into his body breaking his structural balance and knock his teeth out the back of his throat with your other hand...
