Just finished servicing and replacing many parts of the drive train of an Aprilia Atlantic 500 I bought for very little money. Also Piaggio stuff. Seems that it is a must to do this when you acquire a motorscooter without history. I found it quite a pleasant job and interesting technology, so different from a motorcycle. Perhaps a little tip: I had great difficulty finding some parts for the Aprilia. After some research I concluded that its drive train was similar to that of the Piaggio MP3 500. And those parts are easy to obtain. Piaggio uses a lot of the same parts with their various brands!

Had an Atlantic 500 myself about 20years ago
Loved the handling and the motor was pretty good too
